I've been trying to access the Aspers system for the last hour, and every time I enter my credentials, it gives me a generic 'Authentication Failed' error. I've double-checked my username and password multiple times, and I know they are correct. Did the recent system update change the login procedure or require a new type of verification? I can't seem to find a direct link for password recovery on the main page, and I'm worried I might be locked out entirely. Has anyone else experienced this specific login issue since the patch went live yesterday?

Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? That often fixes authentication glitches after a major system patch.

I had the exact same issue yesterday. It wasn't my password; the update changed the required security token format. You might need to contact IT support directly for a manual reset.

Did you check if the portal requires a specific browser version, like Chrome or Edge? Sometimes the update breaks compatibility with older software.

The system might be temporarily rate-limiting you. Wait an hour and try again. Don't keep hammering the login button, or you might trigger an actual lockout.

I think the issue is related to Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). The patch might have forced a re-enrollment of your device. Check your email for a specific link from Aspers IT regarding MFA setup.

I'm seeing this too. My colleague said they had to use the 'legacy login' link which is usually hidden on the developer page. Check the footer of the main Aspers page.

Are you sure your username isn't formatted differently now? Sometimes they switch from employee ID to email address for login purposes. Double-check the official user guide.

I agree with the cache advice. I cleared it, and it worked immediately. It was a simple browser hiccup, not a system failure. Good luck!

Regarding the password recovery link, it's not on the main page. You usually have to click 'Forgot Password' which is located right beneath the login form, slightly to the right. It's very subtle.

Has anyone else experienced this specific login issue since the patch went live yesterday? Yes, I did. I spent two hours on the phone with support, and they finally realized the API key needed manual updating on their end. It was frustrating.

Try accessing the portal via a VPN if you are working remotely. Sometimes network changes trigger authentication failures, even if your credentials are perfect.

My supervisor said it's a known bug that will be fixed in a hotfix release later today. They advised us to wait until 3 PM EST. Don't panic, just wait a little longer.

I just got back in after trying a different network entirely (my phone's hotspot). It seems the issue was local to my office network's firewall settings. Try switching networks.

To follow up on the MFA point: even if you think your credentials are right, the system might be rejecting you because the IP address range changed since the update. You might need to whitelist your current location with IT.

Short answer: Call the help desk. Don't troubleshoot endlessly. They can check the backend logs immediately and tell you if it's a user error or a system failure.
