I just upgraded my system to include the CI 12 module, and while the initial setup seemed fine, I'm running into persistent calibration errors. The manual suggests a simple reset, but doing that only temporarily fixes the issue before it returns within a few hours. I've checked all the wiring connections multiple times, ensuring they are seated correctly and that the power supply voltage is stable. Has anyone successfully calibrated this module in a high-load environment? Any advice on specific troubleshooting steps or firmware updates would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check the ambient temperature? Sometimes the CI 12 is sensitive to thermal fluctuations, which can throw off the calibration readings.

I had the exact same issue last year. It turned out the problem wasn't the module itself, but the grounding wire on the main power bus. A loose connection caused intermittent voltage dips that mimicked calibration failure. Try cleaning all grounding points with electrical contact cleaner.

Check the firmware version. You might need a patch.

The manual is often misleading. When we implemented this in a high-load environment, we had to manually adjust the gain coefficients using the service port, bypassing the automated calibration sequence entirely. It's a tedious process, but it's reliable. Also, ensure your power supply is rated for 150% of your peak expected load, just to be safe.

Re: The manual is often misleading. Did you try the service port access? I found that the default settings often need a slight tweak to account for module drift over time. It's not a simple reset.

Mine only fixed it after updating the main controller's OS, not the module firmware. Sometimes the communication protocol needs refreshing. Good luck!

I think you might be over-calibrating. Let the system run for 24 hours under normal load without touching anything. Sometimes the system stabilizes itself and the error logs clear up.

I'm having issues too. I suspect the load cell itself is degrading, not the module. Have you tested the load cell with a known good reference weight?

Be careful about bypassing automated sequences. You could damage the module if you don't know the specific parameters. Maybe call technical support first.

Short answer: Check the power supply ripple. It's usually the culprit.

The issue was definitely related to the physical mounting bracket. It wasn't level, causing slight mechanical stress that affected the initial readings. Make sure everything is perfectly plumb and level before powering up.

I agree with the load cell theory. We found that using a different brand of load cell, even if the capacity was the same, drastically improved stability. It might be a brand compatibility issue.

Have you checked for electromagnetic interference (EMI)? If other high-power equipment is running nearby, it could be corrupting the signals before they even reach the module.

The only thing that worked for me was swapping out the entire module for a unit from a different batch. It was a hardware fault, nothing software related. Highly frustrating.
