I'm planning a trip to the area and I've heard mixed things about the Cromwell Casino. Specifically, I'm trying to decide if the slot machines are worth checking out, or if I should focus more on the dining options. Has anyone been recently who can tell me about the atmosphere? I'm looking for something more upscale than just a quick bet. Also, are the parking rates reasonable, or should I plan for valet? Any tips on navigating the complex would be greatly appreciated.

The dining is definitely the highlight. We ate at the Italian place and it was surprisingly upscale. Way better than just gambling.

I went last month. Slots are okay if you're just passing time, but don't expect to get rich quick. The atmosphere is lively, but maybe a little loud.

Parking is a nightmare. It's expensive, and you really need to plan for valet if you want to avoid circling the lot for ages. Just walk from the entrance.

Honestly, focus on the non-casino areas. The retail and the restaurants are where the real experience is. The casino floor itself feels a bit generic.

I agree with the dining focus. We spent most of our time exploring the shops and having cocktails. It felt more like a destination trip than a pure gambling trip.

The navigation is straightforward once you get past the main entrance. Just follow the signs for the different wings. Don't worry about getting lost.

Short answer: the atmosphere is fine. It's a standard resort vibe. If you want 'upscale,' book a nice table at one of the higher-end restaurants and dress accordingly.

Are you thinking about a specific restaurant? I recommend checking out the rooftop bar for sunset views. It's a great way to start the evening without committing to a full dinner.

Reply to the dining focus: I found the cocktail bar much better than the main dining room for atmosphere. It was buzzy but still sophisticated. Great for people-watching.

Valet is worth the cost just for convenience. It saves you a lot of stress when you're tired from a long day of exploring. Just budget for it.

Slots are fun for a quick burst of adrenaline, but don't rely on them for your main entertainment. The casino floor can get pretty crowded on weekends.

I found the parking rates reasonable if you stay overnight. If you are just doing a day trip, it's definitely on the higher side, but manageable.

If you are looking for upscale, skip the main casino floor and head straight to the high-end lounge areas. That's where the vibe is.

The best tip is to walk around before you plan your spending. Just soak in the atmosphere and see what catches your eye. Don't feel pressured to spend big right away.

I spent an entire evening just wandering the walkways and trying different appetizers. It was a much more enjoyable experience than gambling.

Seriously, book dinner reservations weeks in advance if you want a good spot. The popular places fill up fast, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.

I'm going to try the high-roller lounge area. I heard it has a much calmer, more exclusive feel than the main floor. Fingers crossed!

I think the atmosphere is highly dependent on which section you are in. The central plaza is great for walking, but the back corner casino feels dated.
