I've been scrolling through various platforms and it's impossible to keep up with all the new creators. Everyone seems to have a 'favorite' person, but I feel like we are always talking about the same handful of mega-stars. I'm genuinely looking for niche recommendations-someone who isn't already famous or constantly trending. Maybe someone in the educational, gaming, or crafting space who deserves way more attention. What are some hidden gems I should be following instead of the usual suspects? I'm ready to update my feed with some fresh talent.

I think the best underrated creators are usually the ones who focus on deep dives into specific historical topics. Check out 'The Byzantine Bard' on YouTube; his videos on late Roman history are incredibly detailed but super engaging. He's definitely not a mega-star, which is refreshing.

Totally agree. It's exhausting keeping up with the same few faces. For crafting, I found a small Twitch streamer who does miniature painting. Her technique is flawless, and she streams consistently without needing viral moments to survive. Highly recommend checking her out!

Short and sweet: 'CodeCrafting' on TikTok. Amazing Python tutorials.

I'm going to chime in here. While the educational space is great, I think the underrated gaming personalities are often the ones who focus on deep lore analysis for older, niche RPGs. They aren't getting the mainstream hype, but their knowledge is unmatched. It's a much more thoughtful form of content creation than just reaction videos.

Replying to the history guy: Have you looked into any channels that cover forgotten scientific breakthroughs? I found one that talks about early 20th-century physics. It's way more interesting than just general history and feels much more academic.

Seriously, the crafting niche is gold. I follow a ceramic artist who does incredible functional pottery. She posts time-lapses and process videos, and her skill level is next-level. She's perfect for a calming feed update.

I think the key is finding people who are genuinely passionate, not just people who are good at being entertaining. It makes a huge difference in the quality of the content. I'm looking for that genuine enthusiasm.

I disagree slightly. While deep dives are great, sometimes the most underrated people are the ones who just make genuinely funny, relatable sketches about everyday life. They don't need to be experts to be valuable. It's about connection.

To build on the gaming lore idea: Have you checked out any speedrunning communities that focus on retro console games? They are incredibly skilled and the community is super dedicated. It's a whole genre unto itself that deserves more recognition.

I've been looking for something similar. Maybe I should try searching 'DIY sustainable living' on YouTube. I'm hoping to find some good, non-commercial creators.

I think the best hidden gems are often found on platforms like itch.io for indie game developers. They are creating amazing, small-scale experiences that deserve to be seen outside of the major gaming news cycle. It's a huge talent pool.

I agree with the critique about the mega-stars. It makes finding quality content feel like a chore. I'm going to try following some of the recommendations here. Thanks, everyone!

Look into the 'Urban Sketching' community online. They are amazing artists who capture city life in beautiful, quick sketches. It's educational, artistic, and always fresh. Definitely a hidden gem.
