I finally stayed at the Treasure Island Hitel last weekend, and I wanted to share my detailed thoughts with everyone planning a trip. The themeing is absolutely incredible; walking through the lobby felt like stepping directly into a pirate movie set. The staff were genuinely enthusiastic and really enhanced the atmosphere, which made the stay memorable. My only minor complaint was that the breakfast buffet felt a little overpriced for what it offered. Overall, while it's certainly a splurge, the immersive experience makes it a unique destination I would recommend for a special occasion.

The themeing really is unmatched. It genuinely feels like you've traveled back in time. Definitely worth the splurge for a special getaway.

I'm curious about the kids' activities. Are they themed to the pirate experience, or is it just standard resort stuff? That was my biggest concern when booking.

Agreed on the staff. They weren't just doing their jobs; they were *in* character. It elevated the entire stay from a nice trip to an actual adventure.

Did anyone else find the room service a bit slow? We waited almost 45 minutes for simple appetizers, which was frustrating considering the high price point.

Reply to the buffet comment: I thought the coffee selection was decent, but the pastry selection was definitely limited. I expected more variety for the price.

Honestly, I think the ambiance alone justifies the cost. It's a destination experience, not just a place to sleep. I'd recommend it for a milestone anniversary.

I read that the boat tours around the simulated islands are highly recommended. It really completes the immersion. Are they mandatory, or can you skip them?

Reply to the staff comment: I noticed the staff were amazing, but the tipping culture felt a little confusing. Maybe a clearer guideline would help future guests.

Overall, I felt the resort was slightly overpriced, mostly because the entertainment schedule felt repetitive after the initial excitement wore off. Maybe a more varied evening program would help.

Is the parking difficult? I drove in late and struggled to find a spot near the main entrance. Maybe they need more signage for guests arriving by car.

Reply to the overall experience comment: I agree that it's unique, but I found the pool area a bit underwhelming compared to the historical areas. It felt like an afterthought.

We went during the off-season and it was magical. The crowds were minimal, which let us really soak in the atmosphere without feeling rushed. Perfect for a quiet romantic trip.

If you are a history buff, this is heaven. The attention to detail in the architecture and props is astounding. It's more like a museum resort than a hotel.

I'm debating going. Is the cost really justified if you aren't a huge fan of pirate lore? I worry the themeing might feel forced to people who aren't into the genre.

The cocktail bar is fantastic! The themed drinks were creative and delicious. It was the perfect spot to end the day after exploring the 'shipwreck' area.
