We just got back from a week at the Hyatt Regency and overall, it was lovely, but I wanted to share some feedback about the service. While the resort itself is beautiful and the beach access is perfect, we found that the level of attentiveness seemed lower than it used to be. Specifically, getting help with the room service or even just locating the pool attendant was a bit challenging. I hope this is just an off-peak issue, but it really impacted our overall relaxation. Has anyone else noticed a dip in the quality of service recently? I'd love to hear if others had a similar experience or if I'm being too critical.

Totally agree. It feels like the staff ratio has dropped significantly this year.

I was there last month and had a completely different experience. Our concierge was fantastic and super helpful. Maybe it was a bad week for you.

The pool service was slow. Seriously disappointing.

I think it's mostly an off-peak issue. During peak season, the energy is just different. The resort is still gorgeous though.

I noticed it too. It was hard to get anyone's attention, even when we needed towels. It really impacted the vibe.

Did you try calling the front desk directly for assistance? Sometimes they can dispatch someone faster than waiting for a pool attendant to notice you.

My biggest complaint was the room service timing. We waited over an hour for a simple meal. It was unacceptable for a resort of this caliber.

It's definitely noticeable. We had to flag down multiple people just to ask for directions to the nearest bar. It felt disorganized.

I actually had a great time! The staff were lovely and very attentive to our needs. Maybe you just had a rough patch.

Honestly, the quality of the food declined too. It wasn't the service, but the actual dining experience was lacking.

I'm sorry to hear that. Sometimes resorts struggle with staffing changes. Hopefully, management addresses the service gaps soon.

I agree with the OP. The pool area felt deserted and the staff seemed overwhelmed. It took a lot of effort to get simple things done.

Don't be too critical. It's a massive resort, and things take time. Just relax and enjoy the view.

Has anyone else noticed the inconsistency? One day the service is perfect, and the next day you feel like you're being ignored. It's frustrating.

I think the decline is real. It wasn't just the pool; the check-in process felt rushed and impersonal, too.

It's probably just the transition between seasons. They might be retraining staff, which can cause temporary dips in service quality.

We were lucky. Our assigned staff were exceptional. We felt genuinely cared for throughout the entire week. Keep your chin up!

I found that if you dress up and walk around the main lobby area, you are much more likely to catch someone's eye and get help quickly.

I'd suggest writing a detailed letter of complaint to the general manager. Sometimes feedback written formally gets more attention than a forum post.
