We just got back from a week at Avi Resort Laughilin and I wanted to share our detailed thoughts. Overall, the location is absolutely stunning, and the beach access was perfect for relaxing. However, I felt the dining options were a bit overpriced for the quality, especially for breakfast. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, but the pool area seemed under-maintained during our visit. If you are planning a trip, I would recommend booking a package that includes meals to help manage costs.

The location really makes up for everything, I think.

I totally agree about the dining costs. We felt ripped off at lunch one day. Maybe we should just stick to room service for breakfast next time.

Wow, a week sounds amazing. We are planning a trip for next spring. Did you find any good deals on package bookings? We are worried about the food costs.

Under-maintained pool area? That's a shame. I thought it looked pretty good from the pictures, but I'm glad someone mentioned it. Maybe they need a deep clean.

Totally. I heard the resort hired a new pool management team recently. Hopefully, they fix it soon.

Regarding the staff, they were wonderful! Our concierge, Maria, helped us book a snorkeling trip that was perfect. They really went above and beyond for us. I found the overall experience worth the money, even if the breakfast was pricey.

I'm debating if the cost is worth it. I read mixed reviews about the resort's upkeep. Has anything changed since 2022?

Do you think the problem is the resort, or maybe the time of year we visited? We went during a major holiday and everything was packed.

I'd recommend going off-season. The prices are much better, and the crowds are smaller. You can enjoy the beautiful beach without the premium pricing.

I think the staff were fantastic. They were so helpful with local recommendations too, not just resort stuff. That really elevated the trip for us.

It's a beautiful spot, yes, but the dining really was a weak point. I found a local spot just outside the resort that was much cheaper and offered better quality food. Maybe explore off-site dining?

I agree with the package deal suggestion. It removes the stress of budgeting for every single meal, which is a huge plus when traveling.

Just wow. The sunset views from the beach were absolutely breathtaking. Truly picture-perfect. Worth every penny just for the views alone.

We stayed last month and the pool area was immaculate. Maybe it was a specific period of time you visited? It really depends on the season, I think.
