I'm trying to buy a few items from [Retailer Name] and I keep seeing different promotions advertised. I'm hoping to combine a percentage discount code with a specific category sale and maybe even a coupon for student status. Has anyone successfully combined multiple types of codes before? I'm worried that using one code will void the eligibility for the others, so I'd really appreciate some advice on the best order to apply them in. Any tips on how to maximize savings without getting flagged by the system would be greatly appreciated!

It's almost impossible. Most retailers only allow one discount code per transaction, even if they have multiple sales running.

You usually have to stack the percentage code with the base sale price, but the student coupon often has to be applied before the percentage discount calculation.

I found that combining a specific category sale with a general coupon code is usually the sweet spot. The student discount is often the trickiest one to combine.

Check the fine print on the coupon codes. They often explicitly state what they cannot be combined with. That's your best starting point.

I tried combining three different offers last month and the system just rejected it all. It seems like they have strict limits on stacking.

Wait, are you talking about a specific retailer? Sometimes the rules are different depending on the brand. I had success combining a 15% code with a BOGO deal at Target.

You might have better luck contacting customer service directly. Sometimes they can manually apply a combination that the website won't allow.

If the student discount is tied to your email verification, try applying that first. Then, proceed with the category sale, and finally, input the percentage code.

I agree with the previous user. The order matters a lot. Always apply the fixed discount (like the student one) first, then let the percentage code calculate off that reduced total.

Don't forget to check if the promotions are stacking on the same items. Sometimes the coupon only applies to 'full price' items, which might exclude sale items.

I think the key is to look for 'stackable' promotions. If the site doesn't use that term, assume it's not possible.

Reply to the user who mentioned Target. Did you try using a general coupon code like 'SAVE10' after the BOGO? I'm curious if that worked for you.

The best way is often to wait for a major holiday sale. They tend to run multiple, overlapping promotions that are designed to be combined.

Seriously, try checking if the student discount is a 'stackable' coupon. If it's a fixed percentage, it usually overrides everything else.

I found a loophole. Sometimes if you remove an item from the cart and then add it back, the system re-calculates and might allow a different combination of codes.

It's a gamble. You might save 20% or you might save 5%. Just be prepared to try multiple combinations and accept that some won't work. Good luck!
