Hi everyone, I'm finally starting to plan a trip to Vegas next year, and I feel completely overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information out there. I'm based in Manchester, so I'm looking at flights and packages from the UK. I've heard amazing things about the shows and the nightlife, but I'm not sure where to start. For those who have been, what was the single best thing to do? Should I focus on the casinos, or are the non-gambling attractions like the Strip shows or themed restaurants better? Any advice on booking deals or things I absolutely must see would be hugely appreciated.

Focus on the shows first. The entertainment value is unmatched, even if you don't gamble. Book tickets in advance!

From Manchester, look into Virgin Atlantic packages. They often have decent deals that include transfers and basic accommodation. It's a good starting point for budgeting.

Definitely prioritize the non-gambling stuff. I spent too much money on slots and regret it. The themed restaurants and wandering around the Strip are enough for a week.

The Bellagio fountain show is mandatory. It's free, beautiful, and a perfect introduction to the city's atmosphere. Don't skip it.

If you're worried about deals, check out reputable travel aggregators a few months out. Avoid booking too close to the date, and definitely compare flight options.

Totally agree about the shows. Cirque du Soleil is worth every penny. Check out 'O' at Bellagio or 'Mystère' at Treasure Island.

I recommend allocating at least one full day just for exploring the less flashy areas off the main Strip. Sometimes the best hidden gems are there.

Are you thinking about a specific budget? That will drastically change whether you focus on luxury resorts or more budget-friendly options.

I found that combining a nice dinner with a show package deal was the best value. It made planning feel less overwhelming.

You must try the themed bars. They are part of the experience, even if you aren't drinking. It's about the atmosphere.

How about a day trip? Consider exploring the Hoover Dam or even a day trip to Zion National Park if you have a car rental. Gives a nice break from the neon.

The casinos are fun, but they are a means to an end, not the main attraction. The architecture and the sheer scale of the places are the real draw.

I found that booking accommodation with breakfast included was a huge money saver. It simplifies the morning routine immensely.

Don't forget to allocate time for just walking. Getting lost in the sheer scale of the Strip is half the fun. Wear comfortable shoes!

Seriously, look into the 'Resort Hopper' packages. They let you stay in multiple hotels, giving you access to different amenities and pools without moving luggage constantly.

I think the shows are the priority. They provide structure to the trip and give you something to look forward to every evening. It makes the whole experience feel curated.

Regarding deals, always check Groupon or local Vegas blogs for last-minute show discounts. But book flights early regardless.

If you're interested in history, check out the Venetian's canals. It feels like stepping into a completely different, beautiful world. It's very immersive.
