My partner and I are finally planning a getaway to Treasure Island, and we are really excited about the TI Hotel & Casino. We've heard mixed reviews about the casino experience versus the hotel amenities, and we want to make sure we allocate our time correctly. Specifically, is it better to spend the whole day on the property, or should we plan a day trip to explore the wider island? Also, does anyone have recommendations for restaurants on-site that aren't too expensive but offer a great atmosphere? Any advice on parking or getting around the area would be hugely appreciated before we book.

Definitely plan for both! A full day allows you to relax, but a day trip helps you appreciate the surrounding area and gives you a different perspective on the island's vibe.

For dining, check out the casual spots near the main promenade. They are much more budget-friendly than the fine dining options, but still have great ambiance for a nice evening.

Parking is a nightmare. Seriously, book a ride-share or a hotel shuttle if possible. Don't rely on driving and finding spots.

I disagree about the day trip being mandatory. If you are focused on relaxation and the casino, stay put. The hotel amenities alone are enough for a fantastic getaway.

The casino is fun, but the hotel pool area is the real gem. Spend an afternoon there. It's relaxing and requires zero effort.

Short answer: Mix it up. Spend the morning exploring the hotel grounds, hit the casino mid-day, and then take a short drive out to a nearby viewpoint in the late afternoon.

Regarding restaurants, try 'The Bistro' on the lower level. It's moderately priced, has a great atmosphere, and the portions are generous. Perfect for a date night.

Did you check out the local bus routes? They are surprisingly efficient for getting to the key attractions without the stress of parking.

Don't forget to walk the boardwalk at sunset. It's free, beautiful, and gives you a sense of the island's scale without needing a car or a ticket.

If you are serious about the casino, dedicate a full day. The sheer size of the property means you could get lost for days. It's an experience in itself.

I found that early morning walks were the best. The crowds haven't built up yet, and the atmosphere is much calmer than the evening rush.

I agree with the bus suggestion. It's much less stressful than trying to navigate parking garages. Just use the main hub stop.

My advice is to pre-book a local tour bus for half a day. It covers the highlights of the wider island without requiring you to rent a car and deal with parking woes.

For cheap eats, look for the local food trucks near the main entrance. They are authentic, delicious, and won't break the bank. Highly recommend trying the seafood tacos!

Seriously, wear comfortable shoes. You will be walking miles, regardless of whether you stay on property or venture out. It's a beautiful place, but it requires stamina.

The hotel has a fantastic shuttle service to the neighboring town. Use that for your day trip. It's reliable and takes you right where you need to be without the hassle of self-driving.
