My partner and I are planning a weekend trip to Atlantic City, and we've decided on the Hard Rock. We've heard amazing things about the shows and the atmosphere, but we are completely overwhelmed by the options for dining and activities. For those who have been, what are your recommendations for getting the most out of the stay without spending a fortune? Specifically, are the off-peak hours better for non-gambling activities, and is it worth booking the concert tickets far in advance? Any advice on deals or packages would be hugely appreciated!

Definitely book concert tickets early. Prices jump dramatically closer to the date, and the best seats sell out fast. Check the official Hard Rock website for pre-sale codes.

Off-peak hours are great for walking the boardwalk and enjoying the atmosphere without the massive crowds. Try a morning stroll instead of hitting the casino right after lunch.

Regarding dining, skip the main casino floor restaurants unless you're celebrating a major occasion. Instead, check out the smaller, local spots a few blocks away. They offer much better value and a more authentic AC feel. I recommend looking near the Convention Hall area.

Packages are key. Look for hotel-casino bundles that include breakfast or a resort credit. It's almost always cheaper than booking everything separately. Call the hotel directly, don't just use third-party sites.

I found that the best deals were actually on the spa services during weekday mornings. They offer 'early bird' rates that are way better than trying to book them on a busy weekend.

Totally agree about the dining. Also, for activities, consider taking a boat tour on the bay. It's a great way to see the city skyline without spending a ton of money. Highly recommend it!

Are you planning to gamble at all? If not, the casino floor is mostly a distraction. Focus on the shows and the entertainment venues. They are the main draw!

A resort credit package is my best tip. Many hotels offer these if you book a minimum night stay. You can then use that credit for dining or activities, effectively lowering your overall cost.

I think the shows are the main value. Don't worry too much about the gambling aspect if you're trying to save money. Just enjoy the spectacle!

For non-gambling activities, the boardwalk itself is free entertainment. Just walking and people-watching is worth the trip alone. Don't underestimate that!

To piggyback on the concert ticket advice: If you're flexible, look at the smaller, local bands playing at the smaller venues. They give a similar vibe to the headliners but cost a fraction of the price.

Check out the local Groupon or Viator deals for day passes. Sometimes they bundle entry to multiple attractions or offer discounts on local tours that are much better value than what's inside the main resort.
