I spent a weekend down at the Shoshone Rose Casino last month and wanted to get some opinions from people who have been recently. The new lounge area they opened up seems really nice, but I'm wondering if it's worth the extra cost compared to the main casino floor. I found the atmosphere great, and the staff were super helpful, but I'm debating if I should stick to the buffet or try one of the premium drink packages next time. Has anyone else noticed if the slot machines are better in the main hall or in the quieter wings? Any tips on maximizing the experience without spending a fortune would be greatly appreciated.

The lounge is definitely an upgrade. The ambiance alone makes it feel worth the extra cash, even if you don't spend a ton.

I found the slot machines were better in the main hall. The energy and noise seem to boost the adrenaline, which I think helps concentration.

Totally agree about the cost. I think sticking to the buffet is the smart move. You can still have a great time without feeling guilty about the premium drinks.

Short answer: Try the buffet. Save your money for the next trip.

Has anyone else noticed the staff in the lounge are much more attentive than the main floor staff? It really changes the vibe.

I disagree about the slot machines. I spent most of my time in the quieter wings and felt less rushed. It was more relaxing and I felt like I was making better decisions.

The lounge is beautiful, but I think the value proposition is weak unless you are celebrating something major. For a casual visit, stick to the main floor.

I think the key is timing. Go right after the lunch rush when the main floor is still buzzing but the lounge hasn't gotten too crowded. It's the sweet spot for atmosphere and machine access.

Reply to the slot machine debate: I found a perfect balance in the middle section. It was loud enough to feel exciting, but quiet enough to actually read the signs and understand the machines.

I recommend checking out the daily specials at the buffet. They often have amazing food items that are way better than the overpriced bar snacks.

I found the lounge area great for conversation and people-watching, but for pure gambling focus, the main hall is better. The energy is infectious.

Don't forget to check out the non-gaming amenities! Sometimes just spending time in the nice lobby or a quiet corner reading is the best part of the visit, and it costs nothing.

Overall, the lounge is nice, but it feels like they are trying too hard to justify the price increase. Stick to the main floor and focus on a specific game you know well. Good luck!
