I'm considering joining the local amateur photography club, and I've heard mixed things about the commitment level. On one hand, the networking aspect seems incredibly valuable, and I want to make sure I'm contributing. But I'm worried that getting too deeply involved in the organizational structure, like joining multiple committees, might be overwhelming for a beginner. Is there a point where participation becomes less about learning and more about managing bureaucracy?
