I've been spending a lot of time trying to improve my website's content, and I keep reading about 'user engagement' and 'stickiness.' I'm finding that simply posting good information isn't enough; people seem to scroll right past it. I'm looking for actionable advice on what truly makes a website or article feel engaging, beyond just good SEO. Are there specific structural changes, interactive elements, or narrative techniques I should be focusing on? Any recommendations from those who have successfully built highly engaging online platforms would be greatly appreciated.

I think the key is building a community around the content, not just the content itself. Create a dedicated forum or discussion thread attached to the article. Make the users talk to each other, not just to you. This shifts the focus from consumption to participation, which is inherently sticky. Also, consider user-generated content submissions; it gives people a sense of ownership over the platform.
