I'm trying to set up a VPN to bypass geo-restrictions for some international streaming services, and I keep seeing recommendations for Luckylan. I've heard mixed reviews, some saying it's super fast and others saying it constantly drops connections. Has anyone here actually used it for high-bandwidth activities like 4K streaming? I'm worried about stability and if it's worth the monthly subscription fee compared to established brands. Any real-world feedback on its reliability would be greatly appreciated before I commit to a plan.

I used it for a month. It was okay, but definitely not the best for consistent 4K. I noticed buffering issues during peak hours.

Seriously considering it. Is there any way to test it first, or is it a full commitment right away? I'm worried about wasting money on a flaky service.

Short answer: No. It drops too often. I switched to ExpressVPN and my streaming experience has been flawless since then. Worth the extra cost for the stability.

I actually used it for geo-blocking, and it worked fine for accessing the library catalog, but when I tried streaming Netflix, it kept giving me 'content unavailable' errors. Maybe their servers aren't optimized for streaming.

Totally agree with the stability concerns. I had to restart it three times just to keep a movie going. It's a huge gamble.

Hey @User234, I had the exact same experience! It's fast until you hit a certain bandwidth threshold, then it just crawls. I'd recommend checking out NordVPN instead. Their streaming performance is top-tier.

I found it decent for general browsing and keeping my IP private, but for high-demand, continuous streaming like 4K, I found my local provider's VPN (the one I got from my ISP) was actually more reliable, even if it was less feature-rich.

If you're only streaming occasionally, maybe it's fine. But if you plan on marathon viewing sessions, you need something robust. I wouldn't risk my viewing pleasure on an unproven service.

Has anyone tried using a dedicated DNS leak test before connecting? Sometimes the VPN itself is fine, but the connection setup is what causes the drops. Might be a local network issue.

I think the mixed reviews are accurate. Some people only use it for light browsing, so they rate it highly. For heavy streaming, it struggles. Stick to the big names.

Wait, I'm going to try it tonight. I'll report back with my findings on stability. Fingers crossed!

I'm going to wait until the price drops, but based on my experience with other users, I think it's a risk. Maybe wait for a sale before committing to the whole subscription.

To follow up on the stability issue: I think the issue might be regional. The servers in Europe seemed much more stable than the ones in Asia. You might need to check which server location you are connecting to.

Honestly, I'd rather pay a bit more for guaranteed performance. VPNs for streaming are not a cheap commodity. Save your money and go with a proven brand.
