I've been trying to get into the student services portal for the last hour, and I keep getting an error message that says my login slot is unavailable. I've checked the official status page, and it seems fine, but I still can't get through. Has anyone else experienced this specific issue today? I need to submit some required forms before the deadline, so any advice on a workaround or if there's a known maintenance window would be greatly appreciated. I've tried clearing my cache and using different browsers, so I'm pretty sure it's not my end.

I had the exact same error this morning. It's definitely not your end. Just wait until 2 PM, that's when they usually reset the slots.

Did you check the IT help desk chat? Sometimes they have a temporary bypass code or a specific troubleshooting step that isn't posted on the main status page. It was a nightmare process, but it worked for me.

Short. Just try logging in via the main university homepage, not the direct student services link. It sometimes routes you around the bottleneck.

I'm pretty sure it's a known issue. I saw a thread on Reddit earlier today mentioning the login slot system was overloaded due to a massive influx of students needing to submit forms simultaneously. They advised waiting until the next business day.

The system is always flaky. Try logging out completely from all devices and waiting 30 minutes. Sometimes the session data gets corrupted on your end, even if you cleared the cache.

I was successful this morning. I think the system was doing a staggered release of access. If you wait about an hour after the initial rush (like 9 AM), it usually clears up.

It's the weekend. They are definitely not staffed properly. Just contact your academic advisor and let them know you are having technical difficulties. They might have an override process.

I just waited until 11:30 PM last night and it worked. Seriously, don't panic and keep trying every five minutes. Give it a few hours.

Reply to user 'StudentLife123': I think you might need to talk to someone in the Registrar's office directly. They handle the backend access and might be able to manually reset your slot availability.

I'm going to submit a ticket through the main BYU IT portal instead of posting here. Sometimes the direct ticketing system gets faster response times than the general help line.
