Has anyone else noticed a huge drop in quality at Hooters lately?

I was at my usual location last night and honestly, I was pretty disappointed. The wings were lukewarm and the dipping sauces tasted watered down. I remember when this place used to be a fun spot for a group outing, but lately it feels like they are cutting corners everywhere. I'm not sure if it's just me, but the service seemed rushed and the overall atmosphere was pretty lackluster. Has anyone else had a recent experience that was way worse than usual? I'm genuinely wondering if the franchise is going through some kind of decline.

Totally agree. I went last week and the wings were dry. It's definitely not what they used to be.

It might be the specific location, though. Sometimes one franchise unit just has an off week. I had a great time last Saturday.

Wow, that sounds rough. I haven't been in ages, but I remember the service being inconsistent. Maybe they need some management overhaul.

The sauces are the worst part. They used to have that kick, now they taste like pure sugar water.

I disagree. I think you're remembering it differently. My group had a fantastic time last weekend. The staff was energetic and the food was hot and fresh.

Seriously? I went yesterday and the wings were perfect. Maybe you were having an off night? Don't let one bad experience ruin the memory.

I think the cost of ingredients has gone up, and they are cutting corners to maintain profitability. It's a business problem, not necessarily a decline in fun.

It's probably just inflation making everything taste bland. Everything costs more these days, and the quality suffers.

Has anyone noticed the decor is also getting worse? My local spot looks dingy and outdated. They really need a refresh.

Replying to the person who said they had a great time: I understand, but even if one group had a good time, it doesn't negate the fact that the overall trend seems negative. The atmosphere really was flat for us.

I think they are over-relying on the 'fun group outing' aspect and neglecting the actual food quality. It's a classic case of prioritizing ambiance over gastronomy.

Maybe check out a different spot for wings? There are so many great breweries nearby that have much better food options.

I'm going to try a different franchise location next time. It's possible the problem is localized to your specific branch.

It's a pattern. I've noticed this over the last three months. The sauces are thinner, the wings are less crispy, and the service feels like they are just going through the motions.

I agree with the general sentiment. It feels like the brand is losing its spark. They need to reinvest in the kitchen experience.

I think the staff training has slipped. People seem less engaged and more stressed out than before. It impacts the whole vibe.

To echo the poster: The dip is definitely watered down. I used to love the blue cheese dressing, but now it tastes like it's been sitting out for days.

Don't worry too much about it. Sometimes a bad night is just bad luck. Maybe try calling ahead and asking for a specific manager if you want a better experience.

I'm going to give it another try in a month or two. Sometimes these things cycle. Hopefully, they realize they need to address the quality control issues before it gets worse.
