I finally made it to the Mayaguez Resort and spent a few days trying out the casino. Overall, the atmosphere was great, and the staff were very attentive, which was a huge plus. The slot machines were modern, but I found the table game selection a bit limited compared to some larger Caribbean casinos. I spent most of my time at the blackjack tables, and the dealers were professional. If you are planning a trip, I recommend checking out the non-gaming amenities too, as they are just as good as the casino itself. I think it's a solid option for a relaxing getaway, but maybe not for a hardcore gambler.

Totally agree about the staff. They really elevated the whole experience. It's not just about the chips, it's the service.

I was there last month. The non-gaming amenities are fantastic. We spent most of our time by the pool and ate at the restaurants. The casino was just a nice bonus.

Hardcore gambler here. You are right, the table selection is definitely limited. I prefer the feeling of a massive, sprawling casino floor.

Is_reply: true. @User123, I found the blackjack dealers to be highly skilled. It made the game feel more legitimate and exciting than I expected.

I thought the slot machines were a bit outdated, honestly. They were functional, but nothing groundbreaking compared to what I saw in Punta Cana.

Does anyone know if the resort has good options for non-gambling activities besides the pool? Like maybe a spa or a local tour recommendation?

I disagree slightly. While the table games are limited, the atmosphere makes up for it. It's cozy, not overwhelming. It's perfect for a relaxing break, not just a high-stakes marathon.

It's a solid choice for a weekend trip. The overall value for money is excellent, even if you don't win big.

I found the resort rooms themselves to be beautiful. The view from our balcony was worth the price alone. The casino was just icing on the cake.

For the price point, the service and ambiance make it worth it. I wouldn't go for the sheer volume of games, but for the overall package, it's great.

I had a terrible experience with the slot machines. They seemed rigged or just poorly maintained. Be careful if you plan on spending a lot of time there.

Thanks for the detailed review! I was torn between going and staying home. This helps me decide. Sounds like a perfect balance of fun and relaxation.
