My partner and I are planning a trip to Perth next month, and Crown is definitely on the itinerary. It's our first time visiting, so I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed about where to even start. I'm not looking to gamble all day, but we want to make the most of our time there. Does anyone have advice on which areas are best for a first-timer, or maybe which restaurants or non-gambling activities are worth checking out? Any tips on parking or getting around the complex would also be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Welcome! Don't stress. Focus on the central areas first. The casino floor is huge, but you don't have to touch it to have a great time.

For non-gambling fun, definitely check out the restaurants and the entertainment venues. The central atrium area is really lovely for just walking around and soaking up the atmosphere. We spent an evening just wandering and it was perfect.

Parking is tricky. Use the official Crown parking garages. They are expensive, but convenient. Just budget for it!

Oh, you guys HAVE to try the Italian restaurant on the second floor. It was amazing. Great ambiance and the pasta was divine. Book ahead!

I recommend doing a show. They have several types of entertainment, and it's a great way to spend an evening without feeling pressured to gamble. Check the daily schedule online.

Is it really that big? I heard it's overwhelming.

Yes, it is massive! But that's part of the fun, I think. Treat it like a giant destination. Walk from one area to the next, pop into a shop, grab a drink, and then move on. Don't try to see everything in one go.

If you're looking for something low-key, the retail areas have some nice spots for window shopping and grabbing a coffee. It's a good way to pass a few hours.

The transport inside is fine. There are internal walkways and escalators everywhere. Just wear comfortable shoes, that's the biggest tip I can give!

Don't worry about gambling. Just enjoy the atmosphere. Grab a nice cocktail and sit by one of the water features. It's relaxing.

I agree about the shoes! And maybe plan your day around one main activity, like a specific dinner or show, and let the rest be spontaneous wandering.

For dinner, skip the main casino floor restaurants if you want something more unique. Look for the dining options connected to the adjacent areas. Better variety.

Seriously, check out the local markets nearby if you have time before or after Crown. It's a totally different vibe and much more authentic.

How do we get from the parking garage to the main entrance? Is it a long walk?

It's a short, well-marked walk. Follow the signs for 'Guest Services' or 'Main Atrium.' You'll be fine. Don't let the size intimidate you.

Tip: Get a map when you arrive. It will help you visualize the complex and stop you from feeling lost immediately.

My biggest tip is to take a break. Don't try to cram too much in. Find a nice bench, read for a bit, or just people watch. It's part of the experience.

I'd recommend looking into the local theatre listings. They often have great, smaller performances that are much more intimate than the big casino shows.

Just relax and enjoy the lights and the buzz. It's a huge place, but it's designed to feel exciting. Have fun!
