I'm planning to go to a new Hooters location downtown this weekend and I'm a little nervous about what the unspoken rules are. I remember hearing stories years ago about strict policies regarding attire or behavior, and I want to make sure I don't accidentally violate anything. Are there any specific guidelines about group size, noise levels, or even what kind of clothing is appropriate for patrons? I just want to have a good time without getting kicked out for something silly. Any local knowledge on their current policies would be super helpful.

Honestly, don't stress about it. Just act normal. They are generally pretty laid back these days.

I went last month and it was super chill. We were a group of eight, and we were loud, but nobody gave us a second glance. I think the biggest rule is just being respectful to the staff and other patrons. Don't be obnoxious, and you'll be fine.

Just dress like you're going to a nice bar. No beachwear or anything too revealing. Keep it casual but decent.

I heard years ago that they were super strict about groups of more than six, but that seems outdated. I'd say the main thing is to keep the noise level reasonable and don't harass the staff. It's just a restaurant, really.

Totally agree with this. It's mostly about common sense. Just treat it like any other popular local bar. Don't try to act like you're in a comedy club or anything.

I think the 'unspoken rule' is just to remember that it's a place to eat and drink, not a party zone. If you're too loud or disruptive, they will ask you to leave, period. Keep it civil.

Short answer: Don't be a jerk. That's it. Seriously. They are just trying to run a business, not host a wild rave. Enjoy the wings!

I'm going to reply to the person who said 'Don't stress.' I think you might be underestimating the potential for drama. While they are usually fine, if you are a large group, it's best to stick to one or two tables and not monopolize the whole section. It's just good etiquette, really.

They are pretty strict about minors, so if you bring kids, be prepared for questions. Otherwise, just follow the general rules of public decency. No drugs, no fighting, no excessive noise.

To follow up on the group size thing: I've been in groups of 12 and we were fine. The key is that you are spread out and not constantly yelling across the whole dining room. Just be considerate of the people sitting near you.
