I'm looking to get a custom suit made for a big event next month, and I keep hearing great things about Nu the Tailor. However, I'm not sure where he stands on modern fabrics or if he can accommodate specific measurements. Has anyone used his services recently, and if so, how was the overall experience from consultation to final fitting? I'm particularly concerned about the turnaround time, as I'm on a tight schedule. Any detailed feedback would be greatly appreciated before I book an appointment.

I used Nu a few months ago. He was fantastic with the modern wool blends I brought in. The consultation was thorough, and he really understood the drape I was looking for. The only thing to note is that the turnaround time was slightly longer than he initially quoted, so plan for extra time.

Regarding the measurements, you really need to book a separate consultation just for that. Don't try to cram everything into the initial fitting. I found his team to be very accommodating, even with my unusual shoulder width. It was a seamless process from start to finish, and the final suit fit like a dream. I would definitely use him again.

I found his pricing to be quite steep compared to some other local tailors, but I will admit the quality of the stitching and the attention to detail justify the cost. If budget is your primary concern, you might want to explore other options, but for sheer luxury and fit, Nu is hard to beat.
