I just bought the Spelsidor SE unit and I'm having some trouble getting it to recognize my peripheral devices. The manual was pretty vague about the initial pairing process, and I've followed all the troubleshooting steps listed online without success. Specifically, when I try to connect it via Bluetooth, the pairing mode seems to drop out every few minutes. Has anyone successfully used this unit with third-party controllers? Any tips on firmware updates or alternative connection methods would be greatly appreciated. I really want to get this set up for my next gaming session.

Have you checked if your Bluetooth adapter on the PC needs updating? Sometimes the OS drivers are the culprit, not the unit itself. A simple driver refresh often fixes these intermittent drops.

I had the exact same issue with the SE unit a few months ago. It turned out the problem was a conflict with my gaming headset's dongle. Try unplugging all non-essential USB devices while pairing. It helped me stabilize the connection.

Short and sweet: Try a hard reset. Hold the pairing button for 10 seconds. It forces a clean slate.

I found success using a dedicated USB Bluetooth adapter (a separate dongle) instead of relying on the laptop's internal Bluetooth. It provided a much more stable signal and eliminated the dropout issue completely. This was a game-changer for me.

The manual is genuinely terrible. I spent hours reading about it. My experience was that the initial pairing needs to happen while the PC is running a specific utility, not just when the OS is idle. Check the Spelsidor support forums for a video guide; they usually post better info than the physical manual.

Is_reply: true. @OriginalPoster - Did you try connecting it via USB-C first, and then initiating the Bluetooth pairing *from* the Spelsidor software interface, rather than the Windows settings? Sometimes the software needs to 'wake up' the unit first.

I recommend checking the Spelsidor website for a firmware update. They released a patch last month specifically addressing Bluetooth stability and peripheral recognition. Don't skip this step, even if you think yours is current.

It's a known issue with certain Windows 10 builds. You might need to go into Device Manager and adjust the power management settings for the Bluetooth radio, ensuring it's set to 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.'

I used it with a standard Xbox Elite controller and it worked flawlessly after I mapped the axes manually in Steam's controller configuration. The SE unit handles the basic input fine, but the mapping needs to be done at the game/platform level, not just the OS level.

I agree with the suggestion about the dedicated USB dongle. My laptop's internal Bluetooth was clearly struggling with the bandwidth required for multiple inputs. It was the only fix that kept the connection stable for hours of use.

Check the physical connection point. Sometimes a slightly loose USB port or a faulty hub can cause intermittent signal drops that mimic Bluetooth failure. Try connecting it directly to a main motherboard port.

The issue might be related to the polling rate. If your peripheral is sending too much data too fast, the SE unit might struggle to process it consistently, causing the perceived 'dropout.' Try testing with just one simple input device first.

I found that updating my entire network stack (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers together) solved it. It forced all the components to communicate using the latest protocols, which seems to have stabilized the SE unit's connection handshake.

Is_reply: true. @OriginalPoster - Also, make sure your operating system is running the latest security patches. Sometimes OS updates include underlying driver improvements that fix hardware communication issues like this.

Don't forget to test it on a different computer entirely. Sometimes the problem isn't the unit or the peripheral, but the specific machine's configuration or resource limitations. Cross-testing is key.

If all else fails, contact Spelsidor support directly. While frustrating, they might have a specific batch fix or a known compatibility list for third-party controllers that isn't published online. Good luck!
