I just downloaded the Dunder mobile app for my new tablet, and while the interface looks great, I'm running into some major syncing issues. Whenever I make changes or add new entries on the mobile version, they don't seem to consistently update on the desktop platform, and sometimes I have to manually log out and back in just to force a sync. Has anyone found a reliable workaround for this, or is there a known bug that the developers need to address? I'm worried I'm losing work because of this instability.

I'm having the exact same issue. It's incredibly frustrating when you know the data is updated on your phone but the desktop just shows the old version. I've tried clearing the cache multiple times, but nothing seems to stick. It feels like there's a backend conflict between the two platforms.

Try logging out of the desktop app completely, not just closing it. Sometimes the session token gets corrupted and prevents a clean sync.

My workaround was to use the web browser version (not the desktop app) for all critical edits. If I make a change on the mobile app, I immediately open the browser and manually hit the 'refresh' button. This forces a sync check that the dedicated desktop client seems to ignore. It's a tedious process, but it works 9 times out of 10. I suspect the dedicated desktop API connection is buggy right now.

Did you check if your tablet's operating system is fully updated? Sometimes the sync failure isn't Dunder's fault, but a compatibility issue with the OS itself.

Has anyone contacted support directly? They might have a patch note or a specific server-side fix that hasn't been posted here yet.

Seriously? This is unacceptable. I rely on this for my job. Just fix the damn sync!

I found that if I make the change on the mobile app, and then wait about 15 minutes, the desktop syncs automatically. It's not immediate, but it eventually catches up. Try waiting a little longer before assuming failure.

I suspect the issue is related to how the conflict resolution is handled. When two endpoints (mobile and desktop) modify the same field at nearly the same time, the system seems to prioritize the last successful write, which is often the desktop, thereby overwriting the mobile user's changes. This suggests a need for better timestamping and conflict flagging within the core database structure.

Just restart everything.

Yes, the 15-minute wait time helped me too. It's definitely not instant, but it's reliable. Thanks for confirming that, it gives me some hope.

I'm on the same version of the app and I'm losing entries too. It's making me hesitant to use the mobile version entirely until this is resolved. Is anyone else seeing this with the latest update?

Maybe it's just user error. Did you ensure you were using the correct project ID on both devices? Sometimes people accidentally link to old or test versions.

The 'nuclear option' I used was to export all my data from the mobile app as CSV files, and then manually import those CSVs into a clean slate environment on the desktop. This bypasses the live sync entirely, but it's a massive headache and only works if the data structure is simple. If you have complex relational data, this is probably impossible.

The CSV export sounds intense, but if the live sync is unreliable, maybe that's the only way to guarantee data integrity for a big project.

Keep documenting the times and actions. Maybe a pattern will emerge.
