I've been trying to optimize the performance of the game assist feature in Grand Mondial, but I keep running into some weird inconsistencies. Sometimes the steering assist feels too aggressive, and other times it barely kicks in when I need it most. I'm wondering if there's a specific setting I'm missing or if this is a known bug with the latest update. Has anyone found a reliable guide or patch notes that explain how to fine-tune the assist levels for different track types? I really want to use the assist without sacrificing the feel of the actual driving experience.

Dude, check the 'Sensitivity Curve' setting. It's usually buried under the advanced controls. Adjusting that often fixes the inconsistency you're describing.

I had the exact same problem after the 4.2 update. It feels like they intentionally made the assist less predictable. I found that setting the 'Assist Profile' to 'Manual' and then tweaking the individual wheel dampening levels helped me regain some control.

Short answer: It's a known bug. Wait for a patch.

Has anyone else noticed that the assist seems to react differently based on the time of day in the game? I swear, on the 'Sunset' track, it's super aggressive, but during the 'Midday' race, it feels like it's barely there, regardless of my input. I'm starting to think it's tied to the in-game weather cycle, not just the settings menu. I spent hours messing with the tire grip settings, but it didn't solve the core problem of inconsistency.

Reply to the user above: The time of day theory is interesting. Maybe it's a variable that needs to be accounted for in the optimal settings guide. I'll test that hypothesis next.

Try resetting all controls to factory defaults first. Sometimes a corrupted save file can mess with the calibration, making the assist feel erratic.

I think the issue isn't the assist itself, but the underlying physics engine reacting poorly to high-speed cornering on certain tracks. It's a general game issue, not just a setting problem. You might need to adjust your driving style rather than the settings.

I found a guide on YouTube that suggests using a combination of 'Low Steering Dampening' and 'Medium Traction Control' for a good balance. It helped me feel more connected to the car while still getting the necessary help.

Does anyone know if the 'Professional' difficulty mode has different assist limitations than 'Expert'? I'm only looking at the general settings and not considering difficulty scaling.

I think the problem is the controller mapping. Make sure your physical wheel is properly recognized and calibrated within the game's peripheral settings. Sometimes the game thinks the wheel isn't connected properly, which causes the assist to fluctuate wildly.

It's definitely a bug. I'm reporting it to the developers via the official forum ticket system. Hopefully, they address it soon. Until then, I'm just accepting that I'll have to drive it 'feel' rather than 'perfectly.'

The 'Advanced' tab has a toggle for 'Predictive Assist.' Make sure that is enabled. It's crucial for maintaining consistency through variable cornering.
