I'm planning a trip to Vegas next fall and Westgate is on my shortlist, but I'm overwhelmed by the booking options. I'm trying to figure out if booking through their official site, or using a third-party site, actually saves money. Specifically, I'm interested in the resort amenities like the pool and the nearby attractions. Does anyone have experience with the parking situation? Also, are the rooms generally comfortable for a longer stay, or are they more suited for a quick night out? Any tips on which specific package or room type I should aim for would be greatly appreciated!

Definitely book direct. Their official site often has package deals that third parties don't match.

For parking, use the official Westgate app. It saves you from having to hunt for street spots and gives you a clear estimate of daily costs. It's a nightmare if you don't plan for it.

Regarding the rooms, they are surprisingly comfortable even for longer stays. If you want maximum value, look for a suite-style room, even if you only need a standard king. The extra space makes a huge difference after a long day of exploring.

The pool area is great, but be prepared for crowds, especially on weekends. If you are serious about maximizing value, check out their spa package; it's a huge discount compared to booking treatments individually.

I found that booking through Expedia was actually cheaper than the direct site last year. Always compare at least three sources before committing.

How long is 'longer stay' for you? If you are staying 5+ nights, consider booking a non-refundable rate. It locks in the price and gives you peace of mind.

I agree about the booking comparison. I'd also suggest looking into package deals that include free breakfast. That alone can save you $50-$75 over four days.

The Westgate pool is fun, but if you are looking for high-end, dedicated lounging, you might want to consider a neighboring resort for just a day pass. It's worth the extra cost for the vibe.

I recommend the standard room type unless you are traveling with a group. The upgraded rooms often don't justify the cost increase for a solo traveler.

Do you think the parking cost changes significantly depending on if you are staying in a car or walking everywhere?

The Westgate location is super convenient for accessing the main Strip attractions without having to deal with the deep Vegas traffic. Just budget an extra hour for travel time, no matter what.

For the best value, I found that combining a stay package with a free credit to a local restaurant works wonders. Check the Westgate promotions page before booking.

I think the parking situation is manageable if you park near the entrance and walk the rest of the time. It's a little confusing the first time, but you'll figure it out.

If you are concerned about the booking cost, try calling Westgate directly. Sometimes they have flash sales or unpublished rates they won't list online.

I found that the pool gets absolutely slammed after 3 PM. If you want to relax, go early in the morning or late at night. It makes a huge difference.

I think the room comfort is fine for a quick night out, but if you are staying more than three nights, you absolutely need to call and ask about mini-fridge upgrades or extra linens. It makes a big difference in perceived value.

I'd aim for a room with a view, even if it costs a bit more. It significantly enhances the feeling of luxury and makes the whole trip feel more premium.
