My partner and I are planning a trip to the area and American Place Casino is high on our list. We've heard mixed reviews, and I'm hoping someone who has been there recently can give us some honest advice. Specifically, are the slot machines worth the time, or should we focus more on the table games like blackjack? Also, is the parking situation difficult, and do they have good dining options that aren't just quick-service food? Any tips on the best time to go to avoid the biggest crowds would be greatly appreciated!

I went last month. Slots are okay, but the blackjack tables are where the real fun is. Definitely spend your time there.

Parking is actually pretty straightforward. Just follow the signs, and there are plenty of spots. Don't worry about that part.

Regarding dining, skip the casino floor restaurants. Check out the Italian place next door. It's much better and gives you a break from the gambling atmosphere. It's a short walk.

The best time to go? Mid-afternoon on a weekday. Like 2 PM to 5 PM. You'll beat the rush of the early evening crowd and the late-night frenzy. It's much more relaxed.

Slots are addictive, I'll give them that. But if you're looking for strategy, blackjack is definitely the way to go. Bring some cash for it.

I found the parking a nightmare. Seriously, expect to circle around for a while. Maybe try going right when they open to beat the rush.

I totally agree about the dining. The steakhouse they have on site is surprisingly good, though it is a bit pricey. Maybe save it for a special occasion.

If you want to avoid crowds, try going right after lunch, around 1:30 PM. The initial rush from the early bird crowd usually dies down by then. It's perfect for a couple's afternoon outing.

Don't bother with the slots if you're serious about winning. Stick to blackjack. And always know the house rules before you sit down!

The parking was fine, but the valet service is really helpful if you don't want to deal with finding a spot yourself. It costs extra, though.

I disagree that blackjack is the only option. The high-limit poker room is also fantastic if you prefer a more social, competitive game. It's worth checking out.

For dinner, I highly recommend the bistro located in the main hotel building. It has a great atmosphere and offers more than just standard casino fare. It's a nice change of pace.

Just go on a Tuesday. Seriously. The casino is much quieter, and the staff are more attentive. You get a better experience overall.

The slots are fine for passing time while you wait for your blackjack table to open up. It's more of a filler activity than a primary focus.

A quick tip on crowds: try visiting right before sunset. The light is beautiful, and the casino is busy enough to feel lively, but not overwhelming. It's a great balance.

The parking structure is massive, so don't stress. Just use Google Maps and look for the designated visitor lots. It's easier than I thought!
