Hi everyone, I'm finally ready to replace the old sofa in my living room, and I keep seeing a lot of positive things about Prenses Home. I'm particularly drawn to their modular designs, but I'm really worried about the long-term quality. Has anyone owned one of their larger pieces for several years? I'm trying to gauge if the cushions and frame hold up well with daily use and pets. Any insight into the actual comfort level versus the initial appearance would be greatly appreciated before I commit to a purchase.

I bought a sectional last year. It's holding up surprisingly well, even with two dogs and a cat. The frame seems solid, and the cushions just need regular vacuuming to keep them fluffy. Overall, good investment for the price point.

Short answer: It's okay. Not amazing, but not terrible either. Be prepared to buy cushion covers every couple of years, though.

I think the biggest issue is the cushion filling. They compress faster than I expected, especially on the corner pieces. If you're worried about pets, you might want to supplement the original filling with some denser foam yourself. It's a DIY fix, but it helps immensely with longevity.

Did you check out the warranty details? That was my main concern when buying. It's decent, but I'd recommend looking at independent reviews about the internal mechanisms, not just the look.

The stain resistance is fantastic. I spilled red wine on it and it came out easily. Definitely worth the premium for the material quality.

I found the modular aspect great for reconfiguring, but the metal connectors felt a little flimsy when I tried to move it. Maybe reinforce those joints yourself with some brackets.

How long did you live with it? I bought mine three years ago, and I'd say the main structure is fine, but the fabric started showing pilling on the armrests. Maybe it's just the material, but it's noticeable.

Totally agree about the cushion filling. I wish they used something more resilient. I ended up getting a professional foam topper to make up the difference. It saved the sofa!

I'd say the comfort level is high, but the initial appearance is maybe slightly exaggerated. It's comfortable, but you have to adjust your expectations downwards a bit.

If you have kids, avoid the light gray options. They stain like crazy. Stick to the darker, textured fabrics if you want peace of mind. It's worth the extra cost for the stain treatment.

I think the cushions are fine, but the frame creaks sometimes when you sit on the edges. It's not dangerous, but it's definitely audible and makes it feel less premium over time. Maybe it needs a little oiling?

Regarding the cushions, I found them to be quite firm initially, which was perfect for me. After a few months, they softened nicely, achieving a perfect balance between support and comfort. Don't worry about them losing their shape too fast.

The best thing I did was to get it professionally cleaned every six months. It makes a huge difference in maintaining the original look and keeping the fabric from degrading prematurely. Routine maintenance is key.

It's beautiful, no doubt. But if you're looking for extreme durability, you might want to check out a brand that specializes in commercial furniture. Prenses is more of a design-focused piece, which sometimes compromises on raw structural strength.
