I just started playing the Key Tower game and I'm finding the resource management aspect really confusing. It seems like the placement of the keys relative to the tower's output is crucial, but I'm not sure how to optimize my turns. Does anyone have advice on whether I should focus on building a higher tower first, or if I should prioritize collecting more keys to unlock advanced abilities? I've been stuck in a loop where I run out of both energy and keys simultaneously. Any tips on efficient early-game strategy would be greatly appreciated!

Focus on keys first. The early game is about unlocking core abilities, not height. A high tower with no keys is just a fancy paperweight.

I found that the key-to-output ratio is everything. Don't just build randomly. Map out your energy expenditure before placing a single key. Try to hit a sweet spot where your key generation slightly exceeds your immediate energy drain. It takes practice, but it's the key to breaking the loop.

Short-term goal: energy generation.

Totally agree with the key focus. If you ignore the advanced abilities, you hit a wall around turn 15 that is impossible to overcome. Save your energy for the key collection phase, even if it means sacrificing a few turns of tower building.

Long-term strategy is key here. Once you have 3-4 advanced abilities unlocked, then and only then should you start prioritizing vertical growth. The abilities themselves provide passive resource boosts that make the tower height less critical until the late game.

What about a balanced approach? Maybe build a medium tower and dedicate 60% of your turns to key collection, and 40% to energy management. It feels safer than going all-in on one resource.

I think you need to re-evaluate your energy spending. Are you using it on basic placements, or are you using it to activate key bonuses? The latter is exponentially more valuable.

Seriously, the key unlocks are the biggest power spike. Don't waste turns just stacking bricks. Keys > Height.

To respond to the previous post: You are right about the key focus. I was wasting time trying to build higher, but I realized I was just generating more energy to spend on more basic placements. The key is efficiency, not volume.

Try grouping your keys. If you place three keys that activate the same type of bonus, the synergy is massive. It's not just about placement, it's about *clustered* placement.

The best advice I got was to treat energy as a resource that should be hoarded until you have a clear target. Don't spend it just because you can. Wait for the optimal key placement moment. Good luck!
