I just stayed at the Marriott Luxor and wanted to share my experience with room service. Overall, it was decent, but I think the quality really depends on what you order. The breakfast items arrived quickly and were fresh, which was a huge plus. However, the main course I ordered felt a little overpriced for the portion size. I wish they offered more variety in the local Egyptian cuisine options, rather than just sticking to standard international fare. If you're relying on room service, maybe call ahead to check the daily specials menu before ordering.

Totally agree about the variety. It's a shame they don't push more authentic local dishes. I expected more Egyptian flavors.

The breakfast was great! Quick and fresh is exactly what you want when you're tired from traveling. I'll definitely order breakfast room service again.

Overpriced is the word. I paid a premium price for a mediocre main course. They need to adjust their menu pricing significantly.

I found the service adequate, but I wouldn't rely on it for a major meal. Better to eat out and experience the local scene.

Does anyone know if the local cuisine options are available for pre-ordering? I'd love to try something specific.

Echoing your point about variety. It felt like a standard international hotel menu, not a true taste of Luxor. Needs a local touch.

I found the main course acceptable, but I think the issue might be the specific time I ordered it. Maybe timing affects the quality.

Just call ahead! Seriously. I had a much better experience when I checked the daily specials first. It made a huge difference.

I agree with the pricing concern. It felt like I was paying for convenience, not for quality food. Maybe a slight discount structure would help.

Was your main course the grilled chicken? Mine was similar, and I agree it was a bit underwhelming for the cost. I prefer ordering from a local spot nearby.

I had a fantastic experience overall. The staff were attentive, and the food was surprisingly flavorful. Maybe it was just a bad day for you.

It's true, the quality really varies. If you stick to the breakfast items, you're safe. Otherwise, prepare for disappointment.

To jump in here, I think the issue isn't the food itself, but the packaging. Everything felt rushed and lacked presentation, making it seem cheap.

I would recommend trying the local bread and dips they offer. That was surprisingly fresh and hit the spot. Don't overlook the appetizers!

I found the room service acceptable for a rainy day when I didn't want to leave the room. It's a convenience, not a culinary destination, if that makes sense.

If you're looking for authentic Egyptian food, don't rely on the hotel. There are amazing, cheap places just a short walk away. Save your money!

I'm going to try calling ahead next time, too. Thanks for the tip! It's always smart to manage expectations when ordering room service.
