I just got back from a weekend trip to the MGM Springfield and wanted to share my detailed thoughts with anyone planning to go. Overall, I had a really good time, but I think some areas could use improvement. The casino floor itself was lively, and the shows were top-notch, especially the main theater performance. However, the buffet dinner felt overpriced for what it offered, and I found parking a little confusing when I arrived. If you are staying overnight, definitely try to book a room that gives you easy access to the main promenade. I'd recommend going during the week to avoid the biggest crowds.

Thanks for the detailed review! I was worried about the buffet, but I'm glad someone confirmed it's pricey.

Totally agree about the parking confusion. I spent a solid 20 minutes just trying to find the right entrance. Next time, I'm calling a ride-share directly to the main gate.

The main theater show was incredible. I saw it last month and it really elevated the whole evening. Definitely worth the ticket price.

I'm planning a trip next month. Your tip about going during the week is super helpful. I usually go on weekends and it's always chaotic.

Does anyone have tips for avoiding the biggest crowds on the casino floor itself? I don't want to feel overwhelmed.

I'm debating staying there. How far is the walk from the room to the promenade, especially late at night?

The buffet was okay, but I think you're right. It felt more like a novelty experience than a gourmet meal. Maybe stick to appetizers instead?

Seriously, the shows are the highlight. I think the talent level at MGM Springfield is unmatched in the area. I'm booking tickets for the next one already!

I found the parking confusing too. Maybe they should put up clearer signage when you enter the property from the main road.

I appreciate the warning about the buffet. I was planning on treating myself, but I'll reconsider.

If you're looking for a quieter experience, maybe try going right after the shows end. The energy dips a bit and it's less intense.

Regarding the room access, I recommend looking for a room on the ground floor near the main entrance. It made everything so much easier for me.

It was worth it for the shows, but I agree with the buffet assessment. It was definitely overpriced for the quality of the food.

Did anyone else find the casino floor lively, but maybe a little too loud? I prefer a more relaxed gambling atmosphere.

Just a quick tip: try the local coffee shops nearby instead of relying on the hotel's breakfast options. Save some cash!

The shows really are top-notch. I even took pictures of the main theater performance, and it looked amazing. You should definitely go!

I'm glad you had a good time overall. It sounds like a solid trip, even with the minor hiccups like parking and the food.
