I just got back from a weekend trip and wanted to share my detailed thoughts on Longstreet. Overall, the location was fantastic and the atmosphere was lively, especially on the casino floor. However, I found the room service to be quite slow, which was disappointing given the price point. The staff in the main lobby were incredibly helpful and friendly, which really salvaged the experience for me. If you're planning a trip, I'd recommend booking a room that includes breakfast, as that saved us a lot of time in the morning. I think they need to improve their housekeeping efficiency, though.

The atmosphere is definitely the star. The casino floor is huge and always buzzing, even during the week. It makes the whole trip feel exciting.

I totally agree about the room service. It felt overpriced and took forever. I ended up just ordering pizza from a place outside the property, which was much faster and cheaper. Maybe they need to overhaul their kitchen operations.

We stayed last month and had a completely different experience. Our housekeeping was actually stellar, spotless every day. However, I agree with your point about the breakfast package. It was a lifesaver; getting out the door quickly without worrying about timing made a huge difference to our stress levels. For a long weekend, I'd recommend that highly.

I found the room service okay, but only because we were starving and didn't care about the efficiency. It was fine for a quick bite, but I wouldn't rely on it for anything important.

Seriously, book the breakfast package. It's not just about saving time; it's about knowing you have a reliable meal waiting for you right there. It adds so much peace of mind to the start of the day.

Speaking of housekeeping, my sheets felt damp and the bathroom wasn't properly sanitized. It was definitely a noticeable drop in quality compared to what I expected from a casino resort. Maybe they need more rigorous inspections.

If you are planning a big event or a business trip, the location is perfect because everything is walkable. Just be prepared for the service inconsistencies. The lobby staff are wonderful, but the back-of-house operations (room service, cleaning) seem to be running on minimum effort. Overall, it's a solid 3/5 stars.

Which lobby staff member were you referring to? I had a great interaction with the concierge desk yesterday, and they were incredibly knowledgeable about local attractions. Knowing who was helpful would be great for others planning to visit.

Overall, I think the hype is mostly justified because of the sheer energy. While the service hiccups are annoying, the overall package of location + entertainment is hard to beat for a weekend getaway.
