I just got back from a weekend trip and stayed at Harrah's. Overall, the location is fantastic, especially for accessing the main strip attractions. However, I found the room itself to be quite dated, and the air conditioning unit was making a really loud noise all night. The buffet was surprisingly good, though, and the staff at the concierge desk were very helpful with directions. If you're just going for the casino action, it's fine, but if you're looking for a luxury hotel experience, you might want to check out alternatives. I'd rate it a solid 3 out of 5 stars.

Totally agree about the location. You can't beat being right on the main strip.

The AC noise is a huge deal. I had a similar issue last year. It really ruins a night's sleep, no matter how nice the buffet is.

I found the room quite basic too. It felt more like a functional spot to sleep than a luxury getaway. Maybe stick to the room service if you want a nicer vibe.

3/5 seems fair. It's solid for the price point, but definitely not a five-star experience.

The buffet was incredible! Seriously, the shrimp cocktail alone was worth the trip. I think the food quality is surprisingly high, even if the room is dated.

I disagree on the room. Mine was surprisingly updated, and the staff were attentive. Maybe it depends on which wing you stay in?

Has anyone stayed there recently? I'm planning a trip and the room reviews are really mixed. Is the noise issue still common?

Replying to the previous comment: I actually stayed in the higher end suite, and it was much better. It might be an issue with the older rooms.

For a quick casino night, it's fine. But if you're celebrating a big anniversary, you really need somewhere with better ambiance and modern decor. Save your money and go elsewhere.

The concierge was a lifesaver. They helped us navigate the parking situation which was stressful. Good service makes a big difference.

I found the staff to be excellent overall. Every time I've been, they've been friendly and helpful, even when it was super busy.

I'm going to try it anyway. The location alone is worth the potential room downgrade. I'll take the risk!

The best part was the evening entertainment. The main floor always has something going on, which kept the energy up all night.

I think the issue isn't the hotel itself, but maybe the time of year? Maybe they need a major renovation to match the rest of the strip's vibe.

Overall, it's a decent spot. Don't expect luxury, but expect convenience and a good buffet. Three stars is accurate.
