I'm looking into staying at the Grand Hotel in Las Vegas for a big anniversary trip next year. I've seen some amazing pictures of the pool area and the rooms look beautiful, but I'm completely overwhelmed by the booking process and pricing. Has anyone stayed there recently, maybe within the last six months, who could give me some advice? Specifically, I'm wondering if booking during a weekday is significantly cheaper than a weekend stay, or if there are any specific packages I should look out for. Any tips on avoiding tourist traps or knowing what amenities are must-sees would be greatly appreciated!

I found that booking 6-9 months out is ideal. You get better rates before the peak season surge, and you can lock in the best room types. Definitely check their direct website for package deals, as third-party sites often inflate the price.

The pool area is gorgeous, but remember to book a cabana in advance if you want a prime spot. It's a must-do amenity.

Generally, yes, weekdays are significantly cheaper. Aim for Tuesday or Wednesday nights if your budget is tight. Weekend rates are always inflated due to demand.

For an anniversary, I highly recommend looking at their 'Romance Retreat' package. It usually includes dinner credits and a spa voucher, which is a huge value. Don't just look at the room rate alone; check the bundled deals. I spent a lovely weekend there last month.

Are you sure about the weekday savings? I stayed on a Sunday and it felt just as expensive as the Saturday night. Maybe the pricing is dynamic and depends more on local events than just the day of the week.

My experience was booking right after a major convention ended. The rates dropped dramatically for the following week. It seems like the pricing fluctuates wildly based on local demand, so being flexible with your dates is key to saving money. I wouldn't book a specific date too far out.

Try the rooftop bar at sunset. Amazing views and perfect for anniversary photos.

Regarding the packages, are they always worth it? I saw one that included a fancy brunch, but the restaurant was overcrowded and the value wasn't there. I think it depends on the specific restaurant's reputation.

Be careful of the 'all-inclusive' trap. Sometimes they bundle things you won't use, like premium drinks or spa credits, making the overall cost higher than just paying for what you consume. Stick to booking the room and then budgeting for activities separately.

You should check for dates right before a major holiday weekend. I found a great rate for a Monday night stay because everyone was leaving town for the long weekend, which was a steal.

I recommend looking at the shoulder season months, like late fall or early spring. The weather is still great, but the massive crowds and peak pricing have dissipated. It's the sweet spot for value and experience. I stayed there last October and it was perfect. If you are flexible, this is your best bet.

I think the best approach is to be flexible. Look at a calendar and circle any week that has fewer major local events or conventions. That's where the real savings are found.
