My partner and I are planning a weekend trip to the Morongo area and we're really excited, but we feel a bit overwhelmed by the sheer size of the resort. We are mostly interested in a mix of entertainment, so we want to gamble a bit but also see some of the non-casino attractions. Has anyone been recently and can give us some advice on the best things to do? Specifically, is the dining scene good, or should we stick to the resort amenities? Also, if we are looking for a good spot to walk around in the evenings, what areas are best? Any tips on getting the most out of our time there would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely plan for the non-casino areas. Morongo is huge, and wandering around the themed sections is half the fun.

The dining scene is actually fantastic, but it varies wildly by restaurant. If you want a splurge, try the Italian place. For casual, the food court area is surprisingly good.

For walking, I highly recommend the area near the main entrance and the boardwalk connecting to the other resorts. It's well lit and has great views of the Strip.

Just focus on one or two things. Don't try to see everything. Pick a favorite restaurant and stick to that area for the evening.

I found the free shows were the best part. Check the daily schedule for the main theater; they have some amazing acts that are totally free entertainment.

Totally agree about the size. Wear comfortable shoes. You will walk miles just trying to get from one attraction to the next.

If you're looking for a quiet evening stroll, avoid the main casino floor after 10 PM. The themed walkways are much more enjoyable and less overwhelming.

I think the resort amenities are great, but the surrounding downtown Palm Springs area has some hidden gems if you venture out for a day trip.

The Italian restaurant is a must. It's perfect for a nice dinner date and feels very upscale without being stuffy.

Is the free entertainment really good? I heard it can be cheesy.

Honestly, the free shows are surprisingly high quality. They really put on a show, not just background noise. Check out the main theater schedule for details.

For gambling, don't feel pressured to play everywhere. Pick one area, like the slots or the table games, and focus your energy there. It makes the experience less stressful.

I recommend booking a cab or rideshare for the evenings. Parking can be a nightmare, and it's easier to just let someone else drive.

The boardwalk area is beautiful at sunset. It's perfect for taking photos and just enjoying the atmosphere without the noise of the casino.

I disagree about sticking to the resort. There are some really cool local coffee shops just a short drive away that offer a more authentic feel than the resort dining.

My tip is to get a map and download the resort's internal navigation app. It will save you a lot of time trying to figure out where everything is.

The main attraction for non-gambling fun is definitely the outdoor art installations. They change seasonally, so check their website before you go.

If you are a foodie, definitely check out the local markets nearby. They have incredible snacks and local treats you won't find inside the resort walls.

For a relaxed evening walk, try the path that runs parallel to the riverbed. It's much quieter than the main thoroughfare and very scenic.

Don't forget to check out the local museums or historical sites nearby. Morongo is a great base, but the surrounding town has a lot of history you can explore.
