My partner and I are finally booking a trip to the city and Hotel 67 seems perfect based on the photos. We are staying for four nights, and we plan to spend most of our time exploring the downtown area. I was hoping someone who has stayed there recently could give us some advice. Specifically, is the breakfast area busy early in the morning, and do you recommend booking a room with a view, or is the standard room sufficient? Also, are the public transport links from the hotel really convenient, or should we plan on using taxis most of the time? Any tips on local restaurants near the hotel would be greatly appreciated!

The public transport is excellent. You can walk to the main metro line easily.

I stayed last month. The breakfast area is definitely busy, especially between 7:30 and 9:00 AM. If you want a calmer start, consider eating earlier or later. Also, the standard room is perfectly fine for a couple, unless you absolutely prioritize the cityscape view.

Definitely book the view room. Waking up to that skyline is worth the extra cost. It makes the whole trip feel more luxurious.

For restaurants, skip the ones right on the square. Walk two blocks over to Elm Street; there are some amazing, hidden Italian spots that are much more authentic and less touristy. Highly recommend 'Trattoria Bella'.

Totally agree about the transport. Taxis are faster for getting across town quickly, especially if you have luggage or are returning late at night. Use the metro for daytime exploration.

The breakfast line was surprisingly manageable for us. We went around 9:30 AM and it was pretty relaxed. We found the pastries amazing, though.

I think you are wrong about the standard room. It was spacious enough, and the view was just 'a view' of a building, not a proper skyline. Save your money and stick with the standard room unless you are a dedicated photography enthusiast.

Short and sweet: Walkable. You can walk everywhere downtown. Just wear comfortable shoes.

Regarding the breakfast, it's a buffet, so it's always busy. My tip is to arrive right when it opens, like 6:30 AM, to grab the best tables and avoid the rush completely. The coffee is strong, too.

We ate at 'The Corner Bistro' the night before leaving. It was cozy, had great local wine, and the staff were incredibly friendly. It's only a five-minute walk from the hotel entrance.

I disagree with the taxi suggestion. The public transit network is actually very comprehensive. You can reach almost any major point of interest without needing a ride-share service. Just use Google Maps for routes.

Don't worry about the breakfast crowd. It's a big hotel, so they handle the volume well. Just be prepared for a crowd, but it moves quickly.

The standard room was fine, but the view room was a game-changer. Seriously, if you are celebrating anything, the view is worth every penny. It really enhances the whole stay experience.

For dining, check out the food hall near the market. It's a great way to sample many different cuisines without committing to one expensive restaurant. It's lively and fun for a group.

My advice is to buy a multi-day transit pass immediately upon arrival. It will save you money and stress compared to hopping on and off individual tickets. The hotel concierge can help you purchase this.
