I spent a weekend at the Westgate and wanted to get some honest feedback from others who have been recently. We stayed in one of the non-suite rooms, and while the location was convenient for getting to the Strip, the room itself felt a bit dated. The buffet was decent, but I was hoping for a more upscale dining experience given the price point. Overall, the staff were friendly, which was a huge plus, but I'm debating if the amenities justify the cost compared to other properties. Has anyone found better value here, or should I look elsewhere next time?

I agree about the room feeling a little tired. The location is great, but you definitely feel like you're paying for the name more than the actual stay.

Staff were amazing, I'll give them that. But honestly, for the price, you can get a much nicer room and better dining experience just a short ride away. It's a trade-off you might not want.

I found the value acceptable if you are primarily focused on the location and don't mind basic accommodations. It's a solid choice for a quick, budget-friendly trip to the Strip.

Totally agree with the buffet comment. It's fine for breakfast, but if you're planning on having multiple dinners there, you'll want to budget for outside dining. Don't let the buffet fool you into thinking it's a gourmet experience.

Has anyone stayed in a suite? I'm wondering if the value proposition changes drastically if you upgrade to one of the larger units. Maybe the space makes up for the dated feel.

I think you are right to look elsewhere. I went last month and felt the overall experience was significantly underwhelming compared to my expectations based on the booking price. I ended up staying at a different property nearby that felt much more polished.

Replying to the suite question: Yes, the suite made a huge difference. It felt less cramped and definitely improved the perceived value of the stay. It's worth the extra cost if you prioritize space.

The parking situation is a huge hassle, which really drags down the overall value. It's convenient for the Strip, but getting to and from the lot adds stress and cost.

I'd say it's fine for a one-night layover. But if you're doing a full weekend trip, you'll find better overall value and atmosphere at properties slightly further out but with excellent shuttle service.

I disagree slightly. For the price point, the staff friendliness really elevates the experience. The people make up for the dated rooms and the basic dining options, in my opinion.

Seriously, check out the properties right next door. You get similar convenience but a massive upgrade in room quality and dining options for only a marginal increase in cost. It's a much better value play.

Overall, it's adequate. Don't expect luxury, but if your main goal is a convenient base camp for the Strip and you are on a strict budget, it gets the job done without too much fuss.
