I finally got to visit the Red Lotus Inn last weekend, and I wanted to share my detailed thoughts with others who might be planning a trip. The location itself is stunning, especially the garden area, which really lives up to the pictures. However, I found the breakfast options a little underwhelming for the price point, and the room service took nearly an hour to arrive. The staff were generally very polite, but the check-in process felt disorganized and slow. Overall, it has massive potential, but some operational improvements are needed to match the beautiful setting.

The garden photos are misleading, honestly. It's beautiful, but the path near the main fountain is uneven and tripping hazards are everywhere.

Room service was fine for me. It took maybe 40 minutes, which I considered acceptable given the size of the resort.

Seriously, the staff were lovely, but the check-in process was a nightmare. We waited almost 45 minutes just to get our keys. Management needs to overhaul that system.

I found the room itself to be quite small for the cost. I wish they offered some room upgrades or better space utilization. It felt cramped.

To piggyback on the room service issue: I think they need to implement a dedicated buzzer system or perhaps a minimum order time guarantee. Waiting an hour is unacceptable for a luxury establishment.

I agree with the OP. The potential is huge, but the operational flow needs major work. It's like they have a 10/10 location but a 5/10 service model.

If you are going, definitely book a table at the restaurant overlooking the river. The ambiance there makes up for almost everything else.

Overall, it's a solid 3/5 stars for me. The location gets 5/5, but the service issues drag the average down significantly. They need better training for the front desk staff.

Did anyone else notice that the air conditioning unit in the room was quite loud? It was disruptive, especially at night. Hopefully, they fix that.

I would give it a second chance. The staff were genuinely helpful when we needed them, and the beauty of the place is hard to beat. Just be prepared for some minor delays.

The garden is gorgeous, but be careful of the stray dogs wandering around. They are cute but sometimes aggressive towards guests.
