I spent a weekend at the Joe Hotel last month, and I was really hoping for a good experience based on the pictures, but it was mixed. The lobby and common areas look fantastic after the renovations; they definitely upgraded the whole vibe. However, my room itself felt a little dated, and the air conditioning unit was incredibly loud all night. Also, the breakfast buffet seemed overpriced for what was offered. Has anyone else noticed that the pool area seems understaffed lately? I'm curious if the service quality has dropped since the big overhaul.

The lobby is stunning, no doubt. They nailed the common areas.

I agree about the room feeling a bit disconnected from the new vibe. It felt like they renovated the public spaces but forgot the guest rooms.

The AC unit was a nightmare. I woke up at least three times because of the noise. Seriously disappointing for a hotel this price point.

Did anyone else find the breakfast buffet pretty overpriced? We paid $45 for mediocre pastries and lukewarm coffee.

Totally agree about the service drop. We waited almost 20 minutes just to get a towel at the pool. It's definitely understaffed.

It's a mixed bag, honestly. Great aesthetic, but the operational details need work. Hope management addresses the service issues.

I thought the room was fine. Maybe it's just the specific wing you stayed in? My room was cozy and clean enough for a weekend trip.

Speaking of service, I noticed the pool staff seemed much less engaged than before the renovations. They were just standing around, not proactively helping anyone.

Wow, $45 for breakfast? That's highway robbery. I think they need to rethink their pricing model or drastically improve the quality of the food offered.

I actually loved the AC unit. It was quiet and kept the room perfectly cool. Maybe it's just the room you booked?

The renovations are impressive, but the maintenance seems lacking. The bathroom fixtures in my room were noticeably old and chipped.

I found the pool area fine, just busy. Don't worry about the staffing; it's probably just peak season crowd management.

I spent a night there last month and found the overall experience acceptable. The common areas are beautiful, and while the room is older, the staff were attentive and helpful throughout my stay.

Has anyone checked if the hotel has a dedicated complaint line for maintenance issues? The loud AC unit really ruined our sleep.

I'd say the hotel needs to focus on consistency. The amazing lobby is undermined by the dated feel of the rooms and the poor service flow.

It's a beautiful hotel, but they need to invest in the mechanicals. A beautiful lobby means nothing if the air conditioning is deafening.

I agree with the OP. The service quality definitely seems to have slipped since the big overhaul. It feels like they prioritized aesthetics over guest comfort and operational efficiency.
