I spent a weekend at the MGM Grand last month and was really intrigued by the new SkyPod area. I was hoping to get some general feedback from people who have visited recently. The views were incredible, no doubt, but I felt the service was a little disjointed when trying to move between the different pods. Was the wait time for the high-end restaurants connected to the SkyPod area worth the price point? I'm debating if it's a must-do or if I should just stick to the main casino floor amenities. Any tips on making the most of the elevated dining options would be greatly appreciated!

Definitely a splurge, but worth it for a special occasion. The views alone justify the cost.

I agree about the service being a little disjointed. It felt like we were moving between different departments and no one was coordinating the transitions. We ended up waiting ages just to get a table reservation confirmation, which was frustrating.

Stick to the main casino amenities. The SkyPod feels overpriced for what it delivers. Good times are cheaper and more reliable on the ground floor.

Wait times were brutal. We waited almost 45 minutes for a simple appetizer, and the quality didn't match the hype. Save your money.

Totally worth it for a romantic night. The ambiance is unmatched, and the cocktail menu is stellar. Book a table early!

How did you find the transportation between the different pods? Was it included in the package or did you have to pay extra?

I found the high-end dining options to be amazing, but only if you book a private section. The open seating felt chaotic and the service was slow.

I thought the whole experience was overly curated. It felt less like a fun getaway and more like a mandatory, expensive photo shoot. I'd rather just lounge by the pool.

I disagree. The views are stunning, and while the service had minor hiccups, the overall atmosphere elevates the entire trip. It's an experience, not just a meal.

If you are going, try booking a package that includes a specific restaurant reservation. It helps streamline the whole process and makes the service feel much more cohesive.

I think the main casino floor amenities are perfectly fine. You get great entertainment and dining options without the premium price tag of the SkyPod.

I went last month and found the wait times acceptable, especially since we had a reservation for a specific time. Just dress accordingly; it's a fancy spot.

Tip: Skip the main dining area and just focus on the bar with the best view. It's less formal and still gives you that elevated feeling without the full restaurant commitment.

Did you try the signature cocktail? It was worth the price point just for that alone. It really ties the whole 'elevated' theme together.

For me, it was a mixed bag. The views were 10/10, but the operational flow between the dining spots was confusing. Maybe stick to one restaurant and explore the area from there.

Honestly, the sheer scale of the place makes the SkyPod feel a little isolated. It's beautiful, but it doesn't feel connected to the rest of the MGM vibe.
