I spent a weekend at the MGM and wanted to get some feedback from others who have been recently. I was particularly interested in the new high-limit section, and while the atmosphere is definitely upscale, I found the staff a little hard to locate when I needed assistance with the machines. Also, the buffet was decent, but I feel like the pricing structure is getting a bit aggressive compared to other Vegas resorts. Has anyone noticed any changes in the overall service quality lately, or is it just me? I'd appreciate any tips for maximizing my time there next time.

Totally agree about the staff. It felt like I was wandering through a museum exhibit rather than a casino floor. Needed help with a machine and couldn't find anyone for ages.

The high-limit area is definitely polished, but the service really does feel transactional lately. It's not the old MGM magic. Maybe it's just me, but I noticed it.

Pricing is brutal. I spent $150 on the buffet and left feeling like I got nothing for it. They need to reconsider their value proposition.

I found the new section okay, but it's way too loud. Hard to have a conversation while playing. Maybe stick to the older, quieter wings.

Has anyone tried the new lounge? I heard the cocktails are amazing, but the crowd seemed huge.

It's probably just a post-pandemic thing. Everything feels rushed. I'd say the service dip is noticeable, but don't panic. It's just a rough patch.

How about tipping? Maybe if you are proactive and tip the floor staff, they will be more attentive. It's a little old school, but it works.

I think the staff shortage is due to labor costs. They are cutting corners everywhere, even the high-limit area. It's a tough market.

Reply to the buffet comment: I agree. And the drinks are priced like they are in Switzerland. Seriously overpaying for basic cocktails.

Tips: Try going during a weekday afternoon. The crowds are thinner, and the service is much more relaxed. Also, check out the free entertainment schedule.

I was there last month and the service was fine. Maybe your visit was just a bad day. Don't let one bad experience ruin the fun!

The machines are fine, but they definitely need better signage. Finding the specific high-limit machines was a nightmare. Needs better flow planning.

Totally agree with the staff issue. I had to walk three times just to find someone to reset a card reader. It's unacceptable for a resort of this caliber.

Did anyone notice the valet parking service seems slower than usual? It was a minor thing, but it adds up to a bad first impression.

I found that if you book a table at a nice restaurant first, the staff seems much more engaged and helpful throughout the day. It changes the vibe.

The high-limit area is gorgeous, no doubt. But yes, the service is definitely lacking. It feels like they prioritize aesthetics over guest experience.

Reply to the staff issue: I think it's the new management. They changed the operational protocols and everything feels less personal. It's corporate now.

For maximizing time, stick to the complimentary activities. Don't feel pressured to spend money everywhere. The shows are great value.

I think the buffet pricing is inflated because they know people are already spending money gambling. It's predatory pricing, frankly.

Overall, I'd say the experience is mixed. The luxury is there, but the human element of service is missing. Be prepared for that.
