I spent a weekend at the Gold River Star and had a really mixed experience. The casino itself is huge and definitely has everything, but the service at the blackjack tables felt a little slow compared to other places I've been. I spent most of my time trying out the new video slots in the main hall, and they are surprisingly engaging with great bonus features. However, the food options were really overpriced for what they offered. Overall, it's a solid spot for a night out, but they need to improve the dining experience to match the entertainment value.

The slots are definitely the highlight. I spent hours on the new video machines and they are addictive.

Totally agree about the food. I paid $40 for a mediocre burger. They need to rethink their menu pricing.

Service was okay, but the blackjack wait time was brutal. It felt like we were just spinning our wheels waiting for a dealer to shuffle.

Which specific slots were you playing? I heard the 'Wild Fortune' machine has some killer bonus rounds.

I found the atmosphere great overall. It's a fun place to spend an evening, even if the dining is a bit much.

I disagree about the service. The dealers were actually very attentive when we were playing. Maybe it was just a slow night for the tables.

Seriously, the food needs a major overhaul. They should bring in a proper local eatery instead of sticking to generic casino fare.

So, the slots are worth the trip? I'm planning a visit next month.

You mentioned the bonus features - are they random, or do you have to hit certain combinations to unlock them? I'm trying to figure out the strategy.

It's a solid spot, but the parking fees alone are going to ruin the experience. Needs better value overall.

I heard the main hall has a new lounge area that is much more comfortable than the old one. It's perfect for watching the action without feeling crammed.

Replying to the service point: I thought the wait time was fine. The casino was packed, but the dealers kept us engaged and were very professional. Maybe you went during peak rush hour?

For the price of the slots, I'd rather eat at the local restaurant downtown. The casino dining is a definite pass.

I loved the new machines! They have a great mix of classic feels and modern video features. Highly recommend checking them out.

It's a huge casino, which is both a pro and a con. It feels a little overwhelming trying to navigate all the different sections.

Overall, I think they are doing a good job balancing the entertainment with the amenities. Just keep an eye on the dining prices, and they'll be perfect.
