I've been doing a lot of research lately and I keep running into these third-party websites that give an 'online casino score' or rating. They claim to tell you which sites are the fairest or best for bonuses, but I'm skeptical. Does anyone here know if these scores are actually based on real audits, or if they are just paid promotions? I'd love some advice on what metrics I should really be looking at instead of just a single numerical score. Has anyone found a reliable way to judge a site's true trustworthiness?

I think you are right to be skeptical. Most of those scores are just marketing fluff. They rarely disclose their methodology, which is the biggest red flag. Instead of a score, look at the site's licensing body and how long they've been operating. A reputable license from a known jurisdiction (like Malta or UKGC) is infinitely more valuable than any arbitrary number.

RTP stands for Return to Player. While it's a theoretical metric, knowing the average RTP of the games offered is crucial. Higher is better, but remember that variance is always a factor. It's not a guarantee of wins, just the house's average payout over time.
