I've been trying to access my account using the standard MRQ login portal for the past two days, but I keep getting a generic 'Invalid Credentials' error message. I am absolutely sure I am entering the correct username and password, and I have tried resetting the password twice already. Has anyone else noticed if the login process has changed recently, or if there might be a required two-factor authentication step I am missing? I'm worried it might be an account lock-out issue, but I'm not sure how to check that. Any advice on troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked if your browser cache needs clearing? Sometimes old data interferes with login forms.

I had the exact same issue last month. It turned out the MRQ portal was undergoing maintenance, and they had temporarily switched the login URL. You need to use the direct link provided on the main corporate site, not the old bookmark.

It's definitely a 2FA issue. Did you check your email or SMS for a code? They sometimes send it to a secondary address you might have forgotten.

Don't panic about account lock-out. Try logging in from a completely different device, like a mobile phone, just to rule out a network-specific issue on your end. If that fails, you'll need to contact their dedicated IT support line directly.

Are you using Chrome or Edge? I found that switching browsers completely resolved the 'Invalid Credentials' error for me. It was a minor compatibility bug on their side.

Hey, @OriginalPoster, I think you might be missing a step. They recently mandated a specific VPN connection for all logins. Make sure you are connected to the corporate VPN before attempting to enter your credentials.

Short answer: Clear your cookies. It usually fixes it.

I had to call them. They confirmed that the system migrated to a new authentication gateway two weeks ago. The old credentials won't work, even if they were correct yesterday. You need to use the 'Forgot Credentials' flow, which now requires verification via your employee ID number.

I agree with the VPN suggestion. I was logged in from a coffee shop and got immediately locked out. Always use a trusted network.

Did you try the 'Guided Login' option on the portal? It walks you through the process step-by-step and often catches simple input errors that the main form overlooks. It's usually located near the bottom of the login page.

Wait, if it's a credential error, maybe the issue is on the username side. Sometimes they change the format from initials to full name. Double check that.

I think the problem is that you are trying to log in using an old username format. When they updated the system, they switched from employee IDs to email addresses. Please try using your full corporate email address instead of your old staff ID.

Long read: I spent an hour on this. It wasn't my credentials, nor was it a browser issue. It was a specific security policy change requiring a physical token or a biometric scan if you are accessing it remotely. I suggest checking the internal HR portal for updated access requirements.

I just reset my password and it worked instantly. It was a simple server glitch, probably. Good luck!

The issue might be time-based. If you are using a VPN or proxy, the time synchronization between your device and the MRQ server might be off, causing the authentication handshake to fail. Check your system clock settings.

Reply to @OriginalPoster: Have you tried accessing the login page using Incognito/Private browsing mode? This bypasses all stored cookies and cached data, which is the most common fix for this specific error.

I'm going to call their help desk. It sounds like a systemic issue they need to address on their end. Good luck!
