I've been trying to access my account on the Batway login page all morning, but I keep getting an 'Invalid Credentials' error, even though I am absolutely sure I am using the correct username and password. I have tried resetting my password twice now, and I even cleared my browser cache and cookies, but nothing changes. Has anyone else run into this specific issue recently? I need this access for a time-sensitive report, so any advice on whether the system is down or if there's a specific troubleshooting step I'm missing would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Have you checked if your account might be temporarily locked? Sometimes too many failed attempts trigger a lockout that requires a 30-minute cool-down period. Try waiting a bit and then attempting the login again.

I had this exact issue last month. It turned out the Batway portal was running a mandatory security update overnight, and the credentials didn't sync properly until about 8 AM. Check the official Batway status page or your internal IT communications for any maintenance alerts.

Try logging in using an incognito window. This bypasses all stored cookies and extensions, which can sometimes interfere with the login script. It's a quick test to rule out browser conflicts.

Is it possible the issue is related to your network? If you are on a VPN or a corporate proxy, try temporarily switching to a different, stable internet connection (like a mobile hotspot) just to test if the network is blocking the connection attempt.

I suspect it's a character encoding issue. Sometimes if you copy and paste your username, a hidden character gets included. Try manually typing both your username and password into the fields, character by character.

Wait, did you try using a completely different browser? Like if you usually use Chrome, try Edge or Firefox. Sometimes specific browser versions have compatibility issues with older web portals.

I'm sorry to hear that. Since you've already cleared cache and cookies, the next step is to check your user profile status directly with your department's IT helpdesk. They can confirm if your account credentials are active and properly linked to the portal.

I agree with the suggestion to check the network. Sometimes the issue isn't the browser, but the firewall rules on the corporate side that are blocking the API call needed for authentication.

Has anyone confirmed if the system is actually down? I checked the general Batway status page, and it just says 'Operational,' which is confusing because I am having the same 'Invalid Credentials' error right now. It feels like a backend glitch.

A locked account is the most common culprit after cache clearing. If you are certain you are using the correct password, please call the dedicated Batway support line. They can manually verify your identity and unlock the account faster than waiting for a reset.

To respond to the network issue: Yes, I tried a hotspot, and it still failed. This strongly suggests the problem is on the server side, not the client side. You absolutely need to escalate this to Batway support.

I found that using the 'View Source' function in Chrome and checking for any JavaScript errors in the console helped me understand that the portal was rejecting my session token. It was a known bug they hadn't patched yet.

Just one more thing: Are you sure your username isn't case sensitive? Even if you think you are using it correctly, some systems treat 'UserA' and 'usera' as completely different accounts.

Please don't keep trying to reset your password if you suspect a system glitch. Repeated attempts could trigger further security measures that make it even harder to get in. Focus on contacting IT first.
