Has anyone studied Mr. Green's pre-flop ranges at the cash tables?

I've been following some of the high-stakes games online, and Mr. Green seems to have a very specific, almost impenetrable style. I'm trying to understand his approach, especially when he's facing multiple opponents. Does anyone know if he tends to tighten up significantly when the stakes rise, or is he consistently aggressive regardless of the pot size? I'm looking for specific examples of his opening ranges from the button or UTG. Any insights into his tendencies would be hugely helpful for my own study.

I found a few solver outputs that model his play. He seems to be a mixed strategy player, especially on the button. It's not just one fixed range.

He's super tricky. When he's facing multiple opponents, he often opens with suited connectors from the middle positions, which is unusual for someone of his profile.

I think the perception of him tightening up is misleading. He maintains a consistent aggression level, but his *type* of aggression changes. He prefers value bets over bluffs when the stakes are highest.

UTG is where he is weakest. He plays too many marginal hands there. Definitely not a tight player when he's first to act.

Has anyone noticed his flop check-raise frequency? That's often more telling than the pre-flop action itself.

I agree with the solver idea. I spent hours analyzing his Button open range against a single caller. It's surprisingly wide, including some offsuit aces.

What about when he's in the blinds? He seems to fold way too often when facing a raise from the UTG, even with decent suited hands.

He doesn't seem to care about pot size. His pre-flop ranges are remarkably consistent, whether the pot is 10 big blinds or 100 big blinds. It's almost robotic.

The button play is key. If you can isolate him there, his range becomes predictable. He loves opening with any pair in the small blind, regardless of board texture.

I think you're overthinking the 'tightening up' aspect. He's just playing optimally for the current stack-to-pot ratio. It's GTO, not a psychological shift.

I've seen him open 72o from the button once. I think he's just trying to annoy people. Don't read into it too much.

If you are studying him, focus on the 3-bet pots. His calling range is often capped, meaning he rarely 3-bets with AA or KK, which is a major leak.

I found a thread mentioning his specific tendency to open raise with AJo and KJo from the cutoff. It's a solid, exploitable weakness.

He is definitely aggressive, but only when he has positional advantage. UTG play is a completely different animal.

The best way to study him is to watch tapes from different tournaments. His style changes dramatically between deep stack cash and tournament play.

Does anyone know if he adjusts his range based on the number of players remaining? I noticed a pattern when it gets down to just three players.

I think you should check out the GTO solvers for this specific profile. It might give you a concrete range to test against, rather than relying on anecdotal evidence.

I remember a session where he opened with 65s from the button and got called by two people. He folded the flop immediately. That's a major tell.

It's not just the opening range. Watch how he defends his blinds. He has a very specific, passive calling pattern that is easy to exploit post-flop.

I'd say he's a high-variance player. His pre-flop ranges are wide, but his post-flop play is inconsistent. Be careful.
