I wanted to share some detailed feedback about the catering service we used for our annual company gathering. Overall, the food quality was excellent, and the presentation was top-notch, which really impressed our clients. However, I did find the booking process a bit complicated; coordinating the dietary restrictions for 80 people was difficult over the phone. Also, while the menu options were vast, the pricing felt a little opaque, and we had to ask several times for a full breakdown. If they could streamline the initial quote process, I think they would be even better. Still, the staff were professional and very helpful on the day itself.

The dietary restriction part is key. It really makes a difference when you have 80 people with varying needs.

Totally agree about the pricing. It felt like we were getting quotes, but never a final, transparent breakdown. We had to chase them down multiple times.

Wow, sounds like a mixed bag experience. Glad the food was good, but the logistics nightmare is a huge red flag for future corporate events.

Did anyone else find their initial quote process confusing? I spent an hour on the phone just trying to understand the tiered pricing structure.

I think the issue isn't the catering itself, but the vendor's operational flow. They need a better online portal for booking complex groups like yours.

For future reference, I recommend asking for a fixed, all-inclusive contract upfront. Don't accept anything that feels like it needs 'clarification' later.

I had a similar experience! The staff were great, but the initial consultation felt rushed. They didn't seem prepared for the complexity of managing 80 diverse needs.

Short and sweet: Good food, bad admin.

The presentation really sells the experience, doesn't it? Even if the booking was tough, the final product made our clients happy. Maybe they just need to hire better sales support.

I agree with the OP. The staff being professional on the day is the most important thing. A smooth service recovery makes up for a rough booking process.

Has anyone successfully used a third-party event management platform to handle the dietary tracking and vendor coordination? That might solve the communication bottleneck.
