I'm planning a trip to the area next month and I've heard mixed reviews about the slot machines at the Harrington de Casino. Specifically, I'm trying to decide if the video poker section is worth the time, or if I should just stick to the table games. Has anyone here been recently and can give me an honest assessment of the payout rates? Also, are the promotional bonuses usually good, or are they just designed to get you to play more? Any tips on which area of the casino is best for beginners would be hugely appreciated.

I was there last month. Video poker is okay, but the payout rates are definitely better on the blackjack tables if you play strategy.

Don't trust the bonuses. They are designed to keep you playing until you lose your initial deposit. Read the fine print!

Beginners should start near the main entrance area. It's well-lit and has machines with clear instructions. Good luck!

What kind of bonuses are you talking about? Are they matched deposits or free spins?

The video poker section is fine if you enjoy the gameplay, but don't expect life-changing wins. It's more for entertainment than profit.

I found the high-limit slots to be the most fun, but they are definitely not for beginners. Save your money for the card games.

I agree with the bonus warning. They are bait. Just treat the trip as fun money, not investment money.

Did you try the video poker on the Jacks or Better variant? It's the most reliable option there.

The atmosphere is great, but the machines are old. I spent a lot of time at the roulette wheel, and that was the best bet.

I think the table games offer better long-term value than the slots. You can control your risk better.

I found the beginner area to be confusing. I recommend asking a staff member for a quick tour before you start playing anything.

Totally agree. The bonus structure is a nightmare of wagering requirements. Just play with cash you can afford to lose.

Hey, I was there last weekend. The video poker was surprisingly decent, especially if you play a few hours and don't chase losses. Give it a shot!

Just play what you know. Don't get distracted by the flashing lights of the newest machine. Blackjack is king.

I recommend checking out their daily specials board before you go. Sometimes they run promotions on specific table games that are worth knowing about.

The payout rates are generally average, nothing groundbreaking. It's a decent place to pass the time, but don't expect riches.

The staff were super helpful when I arrived. They walked me through the basic rules for the different table games. It made me feel much more comfortable.

Seriously, don't play video poker for more than an hour. It's a time sink. Head straight to the craps tables instead.
