I'm planning a relaxing getaway to Tucson and I keep seeing mentions of Rain Spa. I'm really interested in their unique treatments, especially anything involving water or natural elements. Has anyone actually been there recently? I'm trying to decide if it's worth the hype compared to some of the other highly rated spas downtown. Any tips on booking, or if they have specific packages for couples, would be greatly appreciated. Also, is the ambiance as good as people describe?

I went about six months ago and it was absolutely worth the hype. The ambiance is stunning; they really nail the natural, water-element vibe. I tried the geothermal mud wrap, and it was incredibly relaxing. For couples, I highly recommend the sunrise massage package. Just book early, as spots fill up fast!

I was skeptical too, but the hydrotherapy circuit was amazing. It’s definitely not just 'hype.' The focus on natural elements, especially the mineral baths, really makes a difference. It's a bit of a splurge, but it feels luxurious and restorative. If you are going, book a full day package so you can enjoy the facilities, not just one treatment.

Oh, I heard the same thing about the price being high. But honestly, the water element treatments are genuinely unique. Maybe you just need to try a specific package, like the river stone massage, rather than just a general body scrub. It really elevates the experience.

If you are looking for something comparable downtown, check out the spa near the historic district. It's a bit more modern, but equally high-rated for couples. Rain Spa is beautiful, but the other spot has a great rooftop pool area which might be more to your liking if you prefer city views over natural jungle ambiance.

I agree about the packages. When we went, we found the best deal by calling them directly and mentioning we were traveling for a weekend getaway. They upgraded us to a private steam room area for a small fee, which was perfect. Definitely call ahead and ask about group rates!

It is a beautiful experience, but be prepared for crowds, especially on weekends. The staff is lovely, and the attention to detail in the ambiance is unmatched. I recommend booking at least three months in advance if you want a specific time slot or a particular therapist. Seriously, check out their online gallery for pictures of the relaxation areas; they are gorgeous.
