My partner and I are heading to Las Vegas next month, and we've booked a stay at the Rio. We've done some research, but the sheer size of the resort is overwhelming. We want to make the most of our three nights without spending all our time just wandering aimlessly. For those who have stayed here, what are your recommendations? Should we prioritize the pool area, or is the casino floor enough for a first visit? Also, are there any must-try restaurants or specific shows that are worth the extra money? Any insider tips on navigating the property would be greatly appreciated!

Focus on the main attractions. Don't try to see everything. Spend one night at the pool, one night exploring the casino/dining, and one night dedicated to a show.

The pool area is fantastic, especially if you're going during the day. The Rio has a great vibe there. But don't neglect the casino; it's fun even if you don't gamble much.

For restaurants, you absolutely must try the Italian place near the main entrance. It's a bit pricey, but the pasta is worth the splurge. Also, check out the rooftop bar for sunset views.

Short answer: See the shows. Seriously. Book tickets for at least two different shows. It's the easiest way to structure your time and guarantee a memorable night.

I think you should prioritize the shows and the dining experience. The pool is great, but it's just water. Make sure you check out the 'Mystère' show if it's running. It's world class and really sets the tone for a Vegas trip.

I agree with the shows. Have you looked into the buffet? It's a surprisingly good, low-key way to eat dinner without committing to an expensive reservation.

Regarding the navigation, use the resort map app. It helps a lot. And remember to pace yourselves. Don't try to do everything in one day. Take breaks!

The casino floor is huge, but you don't have to wander aimlessly. Pick a section, like the high-limit area or the slot machines, and stick to it for a few hours. It feels more manageable that way.

Reply to the buffet suggestion: While the buffet is fine for a casual meal, if you want a true 'splurge' dinner, book a table at the steakhouse. It feels more like an event and is a great way to celebrate.

My insider tip is to visit the resort early on your first day. Get oriented, find your favorite cocktail spot, and just walk around. It makes the whole place feel less overwhelming.

The pool is fun, but if you're looking for culture, check out the nearby art galleries or maybe take a short Uber to a different neighborhood for a change of pace. Don't limit yourselves to just the Rio.

Definitely check out the smaller, themed bars. They are usually less expensive than the main lounges and offer a more intimate Vegas vibe. Have fun!
