I'm trying to get my character build optimized for the latest patrol zone content, and I keep running into trouble with the cop slots. The guide I followed online seems outdated, and I'm not sure if the recent patch changed the mechanics significantly. Specifically, I'm trying to figure out the best combination of utility items to maximize my arrest rate without running out of ammo too quickly. Has anyone managed to build a reliable rotation for these slots? Any tips on which gear-mods are currently overpowered would be hugely appreciated.

Dude, check the official dev blog. They usually detail major mechanical changes there before the patch notes.

I found a solid build focusing on stun duration. You need the 'Taser Coil' mod paired with the 'Utility Belt Upgrade.' It drastically improves crowd control, which is key for high arrest rates.

Short answer: Focus on utility over raw damage. Ammo management is the real bottleneck, not the slots themselves.

Has anyone tested the new 'Bio-Scanner' mod? I heard it gives a massive boost to identifying targets, which seems crucial for optimizing slot usage in the dense patrol zones. I'm running it with the standard issue cuffs and it feels like a huge upgrade.

The 'Reinforced Polymer' mod is definitely OP right now. It increases your utility item capacity by 20% without sacrificing durability. Seriously, run with that.

I think you're overthinking the rotation. Just stick to the basics: stun, cuff, repeat. Don't try to stack too many complex utilities; it slows your reaction time.

Reply to the OP: You absolutely need to look into the secondary function of the 'Flashbang Grenade.' It's not just for stunning; the after-effect debuff on the target is what really boosts your arrest chances. Pair it with the 'Net Launcher' slot.

I'm struggling with ammo drain too. Is there a specific gear-mod that reduces the cooldown or consumption rate of utility items? My current setup feels unsustainable.

Nah, the ammo drain is inherent to the system. You just need to adjust your patrol route to minimize encounters, or invest in the 'Ammo Reclamation Kit' if you can afford it. It's a slow drip, but it works.

Long post: My experience suggests that the biggest optimization isn't about the items themselves, but the synergy between the utility items. For example, if you use the 'Sleep Gas' utility, you should immediately follow up with the 'Sedative Net' to prevent escape. This combo keeps the target locked down while you manage the cuffing process. I've been testing this specific sequence for hours and the success rate is way higher than just random utility usage. Also, make sure your primary weapon is set to a non-lethal setting to maintain your 'Authority' meter, which seems to boost arrest chances significantly. It's a multi-layered approach, not just about the slots.

Are there any mods that increase the range of the stun utility? My current setup feels too close-quarters for the new patrol zones.

I think the 'Utility Belt Upgrade' mentioned earlier is the key. It allows you to carry specialized ammo types, which is what you really need to manage your arrest rate effectively.

Just use the default gear. Don't buy any expensive mods until you master the basic mechanics. Save your credits.

I've found that mixing elemental damage utility (like electric stun) with physical restraints (cuffs) creates a temporary status effect that slows them down even more. Try combining those two types of mods.

Has anyone figured out if the 'Authority' meter decay rate is affected by the time of day? I noticed a huge drop in effectiveness late in the cycle.

Try pairing the 'Taser Coil' with the 'Bio-Scanner' and then following up with the 'Sedative Net.' It's a three-part combo that seems to be the meta right now. Good luck out there!
